U.S. forces start arrests campaign in Falluja

Falluja, Oct 2, (VOI) – The U.S. forces, backed by Iraqi army troops, launched on Monday a campaign of raids and arrests in several parts of the restive town of Falluja in Anbar province, the Iraqi police said.
“U.S and Iraqi combined forces launched a large scale campaign of raids and arrests in western and northern districts of Falluja,” the source who declined to be named told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI).
The source told VOI that U.S. tanks accompanied by Humvies surrounded this morning the districts of Jomhuriyah, Indalus, Mu’tasem, Rusafi and Golan in Falluja.
“The U.S. marines raided many houses in the neighborhoods after ordering the residents to stay indoors, banning opening commercial shops and preventing pupils from going to their schools,” he added.
The U.S. forces also blocked the city west outlet denying Falluja hospital medial staff and workers entry to the hospital as the whole district was under a search campaign, the source said.

Just up folks, not had a chance to trawl back 20 pages on here! What I have seen elsewhere and maybe Susie can comment is that Maliki is holding up the r/v like Jaafari did and will be ousted very soon.....

I've not heard this from my sources and the comment was made by Gbush whom generally talks shiite!! Susie/Mike/anyone heard this???

not a peep. in fact the articles over the last few days are unwavering support for maliki from our govt.

mudbug told someone recently that clay would be contacting them via the user name 'general gbush' at iif. from what i understand gbush and clay are business partners/employees at the health food store in seattle.

that jafari holding the rv up was clays way of excusing his inaccuracies. i believe weve all seen in the last month or two the steps that have been required to get this close to the revalue. without these steps being accomplished i dont care who the pm was it wasnt gonna revalue.

its time for people to wake up and smell the smokescreen comin from that camp.

Humm . . . Adster, that ties into my latest info . . . if he doesn't get off his butt damn soon . . .

I found this amount interesting as if in dinar would only amount to roughly $35,000 which does not seem like near enough to build 2 bridges....now if 50 million after reval that would be more believable. Just reading into the numbers a little.

Am I right to say that Iraq lost 14.9b from USA because of the deadline is gone.

I was thinking, maybe what Iraq wants is to be 100% debt free (does anybody knows how much debt still outstanding) and then r/v the dinar much higher....

If I am right that all countries will use the reserve of Dinar they 've to buy petrol from Iraq, it make sense to me that once debt free and let say the dinar r/v at $3, Iraq will make more money that if the dinar was r/v at $1.50.

Sorry only my two cents......
