Before any big oil is pumped, there will have to be an HCL. It is coming, I would bet soon. As to security, our brave men and women are doing a SUPER job of capturing and killing the bad guys. We are making Huge progress.. This has been a long and tedious ride for all, but we are much closer to the end than ever before..Remember, patience...

arvie, just stay tuned, keep posting and reading seaviews post to see what is happening currently and together we can bring this investment home. There need be no bashing, side tracking or mean spirited talk from anyone of us. There are some that have more time and get info faster. But believe it, we are all just as confused as the other guy. This old warrior is not afraid to admit it when need be. Good Luck, stay on your toes and lets have fun.

Hello all. I came to this forum thinking how slow it had become and that I would start posting here again and lo and behold it seems a bunch of the old regulars are thinking and doing the same thing. I used to spend a lot of time here. Mostly justly lurking but I was here most every day. As all are no doubt aware Turkey is about ready to start chasing Kurdish members of the PKK right into Iraq. This has already driven the price of oil up to 88 dollars a barrel. If there is any serious military action I expect to see it approach 100 dollars very soon. This will really have the big oil boys salivating. Plus it will give the Iraqis more money for their oil-even if they have to spend some on fighting the Turks or the Kurdish PKK. I have no idea which way that will go. Everything I have read says that when it comes to fighting in the mountains the Kurdish Peshmerga tend to kick turkish butt. In the end all the fighting will do IMO is keep the price of oil on the edge of causing a world wide recession. Good and bad for Iraq. Mostly just bad for the rest of the planet. We certainly live in interesting times!! Don't know if this is the right thread for this little soap box speech but I too would like to see Rolclub become popular and busy again. terry853 Well I just read the latest news thread and I see that rolclub is light years ahead of the post above.

Good to see you back home terry. We just need to get some of our old news hounds back in the hunt. We are better off in my opinion with fewer folks that want to learn and have a good time. I see the Turks, going over killing a lot of bad guys and going home. I think the Kurds really welcome this event as they do not have to do it themselves and risk a lot of pain. Oil is so sad, just a bunch of speculators getting rich on our backs..(IMO) Hang around my friend and get back into the game.

Right you are my friend!! It is always nice to encounter your common sense and logical approach. No way will ANY oil company go into Iraq and start work without the HCL to guarantee contracts and safety. The HCL has not been passed, that is all just hearsay and nonsense. You saw all of the hoopla that was made about the retirement law...the same and more will happen for the HCL and that is a fact.
