Since you have decided to invade our happy forum here with your paticular brand of sarcasm and slow growth speal amswer me this.

SHOW ME 1 article from the the Central bank of Iraq where they say there goal is to have slow growth...and I am not talking about anybody in the ministry or anything else...I want a direct quote from the CBI

This thread was meant for those who believe in slow grow. I cannot provide you with any article to substantiate that theory. In the same vein, there isn't an article from the CBI that states that there will be an overnight revalue. There have been suggestions by some Ministers and officials purporting to reverting to a previous value but those statements have been in vogue since early 2006. They are renowned for talk...sadly, actions speak louder than words and they aren't doing what they ought to have done 2 years ago.

We are all entitled to an opinion. There are multiple other threads that cater for your optimism. Personal attacks are uncalled for given that I am maintaining a sense of decency and decorum in my posts without resorting to personal attacks.

According to you, they arent doing what they ought to have done 2 years ago. And what might have that been??? The fact of the matter is it takes time to get alot of this carp done and this is the closest that we have ever been. SO HERES HOPING

That is precisely my point...it takes time to get things done. This is a country practically rebuilding itself with the generous help of outsiders. Every move at progress is met with an attempt by insurgents/terrorists to thwart the progress. In such an uneasy and unstable environment, one would expect progress to be a lot longer. I know the dinar will reach the levels we expect but it will take a lot longer than some of the expected timeframes. That's the essence of my take. Thank you.

Don't need any quotes from the CBI! This has been a slow grow since Nov 2006. One pip here, Five pips there, no movement for months once it reached 1260, now one pip movements again! Don't need an article when it is a fact. The slow grow is happening right now! Tell what has been happening from Nov 2006 to July 25 2007. A slow grow No article No direct quote Just the fact of what the CBI has been doing.

The fact that it has gained only 18% since last year in NO way means this is there plan for this year or even this month. YOU are grasping at straws...all I asked for in the orginal post was for some one to show me a article where the CBI has stated that they intend to take 5 years to restore the value of the dinar....you can't post it....because it has never been published...ANYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!

Show me where it was published that it will RV in one day.....ANYWHERE!!!!! You can't post it either! The FACT, as you say, that it has grown 18% since last year is just that, A FACT!! It is not a rumor, it is not an article , it is not a quote. Why must you have an article or a quote for something that is already happening?
