I agree 100 percent with you.

That's why in investing or in charitable giving you should do your due diligence and not give to organizations with 95% overhead, which is extremely high and rare, they're most likely a boiler room scam rather than a bona fide charity.

It sounds like you want to set something up like the United Way. They collect money and donate as they choose. I wouldn't but I could just donate to them.

In your "collective" who decides where the money goes? Who manages the money? Is the administrative staff all volunteer or paid? Why don't I just put a lump sum aside to earn dividends and interest and I can just distribute the proceeds as I see fit not as the "collective" sees fit?

I just don't see the need for a start-up organization when there are more established and reputable ones already doing what you propose to do.
    Please, somebody shoot the messenger!

I am not going to give to any huge organization...just going to take care of people in my very own backyard like the neighbor gal who just lost her husband in Iraq and has a kid heading to college this fall and will need financial help. I will also give and volunteer at my local meals on wheels which is a great way to directly help people without a lot of money being skimmed off by corrupt thieves. If everyone looked after those in their backyard, the world would be covered.

Fantatic idea SGS, I would be more than honored to be involved with you on this great opportunity. I too agree that a bright future beings with the youth of this world, right now it looks very bleek. Let me know as this developes if I can be of any assistance to you.

i do not like orgs that take large cuts and claim thier doing there best!

but consider the fact that many working together can make more of a differance than one, when so many need help.

Default what i would like to do

i was a medivac in 2005 from oif. while i was at the ho****al there was several families with disabled and horribly injured spouses in the military there getting treatment as well. most of these families were obviously not living in the immediate area but also obviously wanted to be close to their loved ones. without the generosity of the few who did something amazing, many families would only be communicating with their injured loved ones via email and phone calls. there was i think about 5-6 rather nice homes in the immediate area that opened their houses 100% to those families in need. while there i heard that some of their bills that they could not cover were also handled. i guess i i was lucky in that my family was close by, but even more amazing was that some very generous and "wealthy" enough people to give away their house to families in need. after that, i had decided that i too wanted to provide for the specific families after i witnessed what a huge impact it had to the injured service members and to the families as well. shortly there after i heard about the dinar investment and now plan on also being able to provide for the needs of the families as well.

I agree...I think I have said this before...

Without IIF, then Rolclub, and great people like Susie and many others, I would probably only have 1 or 2 million IQD. But because of people like Susie I have much more IQD and will be able to help more people...

    Best to all,

    Default Remember.

I do not remember the details, but I know I read it here.

If you plan to donate to a charity, there are some advantages to giving the charity (such as your church, ect) the actual IQD instead of you cashing in the dinars and then writing them a check.

REMEMBER, before cashing any sizable chunk of dinar seek professional advice from a tax attorney, cpa, ect and tell them you plan to donate x amount and what is the best way to do it.

    Best to all,

    Dinarstars
