I am so happy the two of you found each other!

I met my 2nd husband at work. He was/is the man of my dreams. We also had a formal wedding on a budget. I became a Catholic, and we were married in the Catholic church. There were 18 people in our wedding party, not counting us! (hubby is the baby of 9 children) I had the beautiful gown, flowers, the whole nine yards. My oldest daughter was one of our flower girls, and she was 3 at the time. We had our reception at the VFW hall in Swartz Creek, Michigan. We had it catered, rented a DJ, and bought the booze. The cake was 4 beautiful layers. We had about 185 people come to the wedding, and the reception. I still have people tell me that our wedding was one of the funnest times they have ever had. You would think that we payed a pretty penny for all that we had, but my husband says that I am the only person he knows that can squeeze .25 out of a penny! Our entire wedding, my engagement ring, our wedding rings, my dress, his tux, the flowers, the hall, the booze, the food, the dj,the cake, and I even paid for my sisters dress because she couldn't come up with the money, was a whooping $4986.00! I have kept all our receipts, because some people just don't believe me! It was alot of work, lots of negotiating, but a champaign wedding can be done on a beer budget!

Anyways, been married 7 years this October. My husband adopted my daughter, and we had 2 more beautiful girls since. Keeping God in our lives sure has made the tough times easier. We look at our problems now, and try to find the blessing the Lord has given us. I think that is the trick. Whenever you think you have an issue with something, step back and really look at it. The Lord is trying to tell you something, and it is up to you to find it. There is a blessing with every trial.

Me thinks that I will be buying a ring soon!!!! With all the news coming out and the laws inacted today, I can't help but be hopeful!!! I think our prayers are going to be answered soon, VERY SOON!!!!!

I hope so too sweetheart!!Been hard to spend any time with you latley..and seems like unless something happens soon it will be at least a few more months wait!!And i don't like not being able to see you!!!We desperatly need some us time!!Come on RV..Get the show on the road!!!
