I am pretty sure this has been talk about before, but I really didnt get involved with this until last week. Lets take Warka Investment Bank for example. First you need to setup an account with warka, so you can then purchase stocks.


Warka Investment Bank (ISX:WRKA)
(also known as: Al-Warka Investment Bank)

Last Traded at: $2.75IQD

You purchase 1,000,000 shares at 2,750,000IQD ($2156.86USD)

So now you sit on this stock until the ISX is opened to foreign investors!!!

Foreign investors drive this stock up to say $10.00IQD(this is all speculation)

Say you sell at that number: Now your 1,000,000 shares turn into 10,000,000IQD

Say we have a RV At .32

You take your 10,000,000IQD that is sitting at Warka, have it convert over to US currency then wire back to your account in the US.

Final Numbers

Being in the ISX

post RV ($2156.86 USD invested) =After RV ($3,200,000 USD)

Sitting With Dinar on Hand

post RV ($2156.86 USD Invested) = After RV ($880,000 USD)

This was just an example, no one knows if these numbers will be accurate but it could happen.

DIVERSIFY YOUR PORTFOLIO!!!!

And this is assuming that Warka and the ISX doesn't just keep your cash and tell you to hit the road...there are no laws governing either of them that protect you.

I hear this time and again so at the risk of stating the obvious.

If/when the dinar strengthens in value to a significant amount against the dollar - it will more than offset against the money initially invested with Warka and ISX. Obviously one will be able to regain that loss (should it happen - highly unlikely) with physical dinar being cashed in.

P.S Thats assuming the cash dinar doesn't tank anyway. But then everyone looses.

If either one claims all your IQD that is deposited or invested....there won't be anything left to offset. How would you regain a complete loss?

Way to look at the positive side... Actually if they decide to keep OUR money it would be pretty easy to bring a lawsuit against warkaa...

Well I can't believe anyone who has invested with Warka and ISX is daft enough not to hold physical dinar as well. I know I do. If they don't hold physical dinar too then your right - and frankly would deserve to loose.

I'm looking at the worse case scenario...they have no FDIC system in place and there are no laws protecting foreign investors so a lawsuit wouldn't be an option.
