Bush went into a major war over a non-existent nuclear weapons program. Presidents' reputations don't survive things like that. Historians are creatures of documents and precision. And yet Kennedy gets a pass on the Bay of Pigs, possible complicity in Marilyn Monroe's death, and his numerours "dalliances" because he was a Democrat or because he caught a bullet in the head? I would venture that history and its historians have not treated him so badly. Before you jump on me for my comment, he was a Democrat I "could" have voted for had I been old enough and I can not say that about Carter or Clinton.

"Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country..." If only modern Democrats could take that mantra and run with it. Instead they concentrate on making government ever larger and more invasive and veil it with talk of "personal rights and privacy" yet that is only for them.

"Don't ask, don't tell." "I did not have sex with that woman, Ms. Lewinski, not one time." Now we have middle school children have oral sex parties because according to an ex-President and all the media of the day, "oral sex is not sex."

Anyone remember Hillary's health care plan? Regardless of whether your current coverage was better you would have had to be in "the plan" as it was laid out. Why? To make sure you are dependent upon the Democrat party for life. Talk about your voter base...It's pure Socialism bordering on Communism...

That is not to say Bush hasn't made mistakes but they do not reach the heights of hypocrisy that the former administration/President had put this country through...

I stand by my original post. Bush will be vindicated. Some other recent Presidents and candidates will not be so lucky...

middle schoolers do not have sex parties because of Bill Clinton, they have sex parties because of the degradation of society in general in this country. Sex and money are God. Very sad. Early on in this president's admin I wrote a letter to the editor saying, uh oh.....I can see where this is going. The war is the least of it. Shall we talk about gutting environmental protections, very systematically? Ending birth control and education about it to all third world countries, who cares about the spiraling out of control population of this planet? Pollution? Health care? yada yada. I will be the first to agree that no one can really know how this will shake out, and my opionion is just that. If he goes down in history as anything less than the most destructive public official this country has ever seen...(and his smarter, more powerful cronies as well...) I will happily eat my words. I hope I'm wrong.

The U.S. gives more to humanitarian projects around the world than any other country: FACT. Everytime the U.S. has tried to help African countries, the monies or supplies were confiscated by the regimes in control and sold to line their own pockets and not help their people: FACT. The U.S. led the conservationism movement: we put pollution controls and safety standards into our vehicles before Europe even thought about it and that's a fact. The U.S. started requiring that industries that use nature resources restore the areas they "utilized" back to their condition prior to their industrialization: FACT. The air in the U.S. is cleaner now than it was in the late 60's, early 70's: FACT. The current "global climate" treaties do nothing to curb the "world's" global emissions but do go to great lengths to "curb", i.e. make illegal, the "developed countries" abilities to provide adequate power to their citizens to "curb" emissions but allow all, repeat ALL, third world countries to industrialize and pollute to their heart's content. This includes "China" in the third world category so their 1 billion+ people can absolutely "overwhelm" any gains made by the "well to do" countries. No one has ended "birth control" and no one has inhibited a woman's right to choose abortion on demand as a form of "birth control"/"population control". Do you get your posting points straight from the left-wing Democrat handbook? Geesh! I wish people would actually "learn" about what it is they're talking about before they talk about it.
