I have pot in a manual trade in USDCAD, that;s the one that is open now. Fapturbo only traded once today, and pulled out a profit of a few dollars.

My manual trade is on loss right now, I hope it will turn around while I go to bed :)

Nice to see that other is doing good with FapTurbo. I also is doing very vell with this robot. I have been doing forex for only 6 mont and tried many different robots, but this is only the one that is workin for me. In mars I had a proffit of $ 1400. But I am only trading with EURGBT and EURCHF. EURUSD is a long term, and the advice from FapTurbo is not trading this one if you don't have a less that $10.00 on you account. And because it is long trade, one trade could be on for many weeks before you see any end.
I started with $1000, and withdraw my investment after 1 month, so the account is now with $ 2400, all proffit. So my advice, is GO FOR IT ! Very good help on the FapTurbo forum. They also have weekly MENTORING

My advice, don't make manual trade. Then you will lose. Let the FapTurbo do the work for you! This is very important!

That manual trade of yesterday I should have closed before I went to bed, during the night it hit the stop loss limit and resulted in another loss of allmost 25 dollars.

But today I did some manual trading again, by just watching closely the trend of the graphs, and it actually turned out to be good. After closing all manual trades I won about 10-15 dollars.

If you see open trades now, they are all FAPturbo, and at the moment I write this, they do not look good..

Whohoo.. The bad trades turned OK, and most losses of yesterday I have recovered.

UP from 452 to 476 today.. I do not think FAP will trade more today

Friday is NO TRADING day in FAPturbo, but I saw an opportunity to trade and won $2.15

But I call it the day, because the market will close soon

Maybe I will add the ForexMegadroid next week, depending on what people say about it during the mentoring session of tomorrow. I expect a special offer for FAPturbo traders, because it appears FAPturbo and Megadroid are somehwat working together.

I was in the FAPTurbo mentoring session.. not much about megadroid, only that it can work nicely beside FAPturbo, because it is scalping on EURUSD, which FAPT does not... they also warned that all proof of megadroid is on backtests only, they just started live accounts this week, so we have to keep an eye on that before going live with big accounts.

I have been reading a little more about USDCAD, and it seems that it is too volotile for FAPturbo to cope with and pull out a nice profit.. many have tried to tweak settings for this pair, but when running short term as I have to do with my small account it is only loosing money,, Someone did a backtest from january till end of March and shown a downhill only... Adding up my own experience of loosing $50+ I decided to remove USDCAD and stick with EURCHF only.

because I am now running one pair with a small stop loss, I have increased the LRR to 25 (was 15).. This will allow for a rather quick growing of my account, but absolutely seen not loosing too much.. Once my balance reaches higher values i will gradually decrease the LRR to keep the losses acceptable, absolutely seen.

I hope this is the last change I need to make, I wll just let it run next week, and see what happens.

As you know high spread is the main disadvantage which prevents fapturbo from its most effective trading. However more and more brokers are finally decreasing their spreads after 3 months of high spread period. That is really great news for all current and future fapturbo traders!

Alpari is going to decrease spreads on 16 currency pairs including popular EURGBP and EURCHF! New night spread will be 4 instead of 5! That means fapturbo clients have much more possibilities for successful trading.

IBFX has announced the upcoming change to 5 digits in price quotes which also should decrease their spreads. Please note fapturbo automatically detects 4-5 digit brokers and there is no need for any adjustments on the trader's side.

FXCM reduced their variable spreads in the end of March as well.

FXCBS (http://fapturbo.com/brokers.html) is adding more liquidity providers and going to decrease the spreads as well. Their minimum deposit was reduced from 10k to 2K.

Thanks for the heads up.. Looking at my MT4 at the moment I see spread is 10 again with FXDD for EURGBP and 7 for EURCHF

But when I look at FXDD's website I see that spread SHOULD BE 5 and 4 respectively.. IS this higher because of Forexmeta, or are they lying at their website? Isnt there something you can do about that as you represent thousands of traders right now?

Now I have a fapturbo insiders attention here, I did some backtesting on EURCHF to see what works best as far as LRR settings goes... I noticed that when increasing LRR to 10 during the past year (01 Apr 2008 to 03 Apr 2009, worst period available I think), it turned out to be a loss of about $150-$200 (start balance $500)

BUT With LRR set to 5 (default) I pulled out a profit of 120%.. GOOD!

What I noticed looking at the graph was that the Big jumps down that happen once in a while, are much bigger relatively seen with LRR set at 10 and the account gets smaller, but tend to get relatively smaller and smaller when the account grows.

The big jump losses do not seem to be related to stop losses, because the jumps down are allways about the same value, no matter the account size. So do you maximize the loss size as a function of the LRR and initial deposit?

What I also found out is that also during a short period of mostly winning trades and now and then a small loss (so a GOOD market condition for FAPT), the lower LRR is ALSO better.. It seems that the higher LRR only increases the loss sizes but hardly does increase the profits..At least the profits are not enough to recover from the losses.. The balance after three weeks of steady growth before the first big blow down was 610 with LRR at 5, and 596 with LRR at 10.. that was also the about highest it ever got, it never completely recovered from the big blow that followed. With LRR at 5 it recovered, but took quite a while, to end in April 2009 at 1100, highest point 1140 a few days before that.

I also asked this question on the FAPTurbo forum (In Donnaforex scalper settings thread, as I think it relates most to that thread)

Due to these Important findings I have set LRR back to 5 and wont touch it anymore for the next few months PROMISSE!

So that was the update for today.. looking at MT4.. hmm it took a hit again.. but a trade is open and might recover.. we will see :-)

I have overlooked something in the backtests, and that is when trading a small balance it reverts back to the testers minimum lot size of 0... so in fact I traded with a fixed lot size of 0.1, with LRR set at 5.

However this explains the somewhat fixed small maximum stop loss all the time withh LRR at 5, it does not explain why an LRR of just 10 had such a devastating effect. With the lot size 'fixed' to 0.1 an LRR of 5 or an LRR of 10, the results should be about the same.

Set the LRR back to 20 now and see what happens.

Good thing of this "mistake" is the stop loss of yesterday in EURCHF, was not so big for me :-) Also two winning trades, but only 26 and 53 cents due to low LRR of 5
