JESUS AND MONEY
The truth is, Jesus didn't have much use for money or those who possessed it - and He made this fact very clear in the story of the rich young ruler:

"And, behold, one (a very rich person) came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
"And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
"He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
"Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
"The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
"Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
"But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
"Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, THAT A RICH MAN SHALL HARDLY ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.
"And again I say unto you, IT IS EASIER FOR A CAMEL TO GO THROUGH THE EYE OF A NEEDLE, THAN FOR A RICH MAN TO ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD." (Matt. 19:16-24)

The fact is, throughout His ministry, Jesus identified Himself with the poor:

"And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God." (Luke 6:20)

And He vilified the rich:

"... woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation." (Luke 6:24)
So how do you explain 2 Cor. 8:9 "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for YOUR sakes He became POOR, so that YOU through His POVERTY might become RICH." ?????

pechbo:

MONEY AS A CORRUPTING INFLUENCE
The Word of God speaks of money as "the mammon of unrighteousness" (Luke 16:9) - something which invariably leads away from God. The Bible says,

"... the love of money is the root of ALL evil ..." (1 Tim. 6:10)

Jesus saw money as standing in opposition to the Kingdom of God; to rely on it was antithetical to that kingdom. He refused to allow His disciples to depend on it:

"Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.
"Carry neither purse, nor scrip (i.e., money), nor shoes: and salute no man by the way. (Luke 10:3-4)

To Jesus, it was a corrupting influence which defiled those who touched it, which contaminated those who depended on it, which perverted those who relied on it, and which polluted those who based their calculations and manner of living on it - and He somberly warned His disciples of its allure:

"Take heed and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth." (Luke 12:15)

And He cautioned them of the outcome the attraction of money can lead to - the failure to recognize that the grave (and ultimately judgment) awaits all of us - even the richest of us (and then what will all that wealth mean?):

"... the ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
"And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
"he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
"And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
"But God said unto him, Thou FOOL, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? (Luke 12:16-20)

Jesus called those who were blinded by the seductiveness of wealth "fools" - and He didn't use the word "fool" lightly. (Matt. 5:22)

Again, Paul cautioned,

"... they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition." (I Tim. 6:9)

And Peter said of those who desire wealth (i.e., who are covetous),

"These are wells without water, clouds that are carried (about) with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever." (2 Pet. 2:17)

there is point to be made here.........forget the money is the root of all evil,,bull..,......money can lead to great opportunties...helping the less fortunate....etc......however,,,,in order for a program to succeed, there is value in capping the wealth to a reasonalble sum........ 4k a month isnt it........12daily pro has an idea....their cap is 6600 a month.......but with the prior anticipation of pips members with cash register eyes...... 6600 probably wouldnt satisfy pipsters either....however there should and could be reconcilable forumula worked out that would satisfy most of us.. perhaps a poll? ........ Marek?

sardonicus,

Are you taking the piss or what?

Where are all these fanciful ideas about the mega rich and their proxies wanting you to be happy with 4K and 6.6K per month coming from? Are you saying that if we are able to limit our expectations then they will be satisfied and give us the nod?

The truth is they don't want you to get anything. They want to keep it all for themselves. They want you to go and deposit your hard earned $450 in their banks so that they will reward you with 4% per year and be thankful for their generousity.

Can you see why they do not like what Bryan and Pips are doing and why they are using their mighty powers to frustrate Bryan and Pips? Get real, man.

Default Capping our withdrawals

I don't like the idea of capping things as the plans I have for helping others may very well involve a lot more money than you suggest we be allowed.

(Build a camp/convention centre for Christians to come to to rejuvenate, recouperate, learn, or whatever. OR Buy/build a farm to help our misdirected teens to learn about responsiblity and self worth etc. . These are just a couple of things I'd like to do and both will require a LOT more money than the $6 000 odd you are talking about.

It should be left as is was. Each member is an adult (presumably) and therefore should be allowed the right to make their own decisions on how much they need for whatever purpose they want.

Admittedly some may be like a kid in a lolly shop but the majority I believe would act responsibly with the money they get.

What's amazing to me is that somehow, someone managed to send me an email telling me of this site -- in December 2005 -- and it's obviously been here for months! egads

Sure wish I'd had this 'good' news then -- it would have 'bucked me up' long before now. Thanks -- whoever sent me the email!

Also -- Bryan, there are those of us who work for sites gratis -- IF you and Sharon need help to get things organized WHEN BoN is done with us, put out a call. You could do due diligence and get some pretty good people to help you -- and us all -- I'll bet.

Glad to see that there is a site that is talking about Pips as i've been out of touch since June when the investigation started. Wish i only knew about it sooner instead of getting an e-mail today letting me know about it. Would have kept the (wonder if) cob webs at bay alot sooner.
Glad to see that Bryan is keeping in touch and keep up the good work and hopfully we can get the ball rolling again. Will be visiting more often now that i have somewhere to go.

Default Need Staff Hi Bryan I am free to work any were in the world right now
Although there was no court case on 17 November, we are not free of BN yet, investigation is still ongoing.

With regard to the come back there will be parts that come up before others, but the timing of your existing pips account transfers will still be dependent on a few factors.

BN has to return our servers and documents when all this is over before we can reconcile any accounts.

Currently we have no staff left, they have to earn a living so all are gone, it is left to just Sharon and I to deal with at the moment and it is a monumental task.

When we do get it all back it will take some time to sort through it all and get it back in order.

This does not mean you will not be able to earn money in the meantime because you will.

The withdrawal problems will, under the new structure be eliminated, as they will be automated and only payable on a monthly, quarterly, 6 monthly, annual or maturity basis.

I would request that you all stop asking questions, because until we get closer to the BN situation being over and getting it all back together we are not in a position to answer them.

Thanks once again for your continued support it means a great deal to us.
