I just wanted to know if I can use nofollow links for link building purposes, is it helpful or not?

No-follow links are just used to get traffic on your website. That's all. It adds no value in link building. Moreover, Google doesn't count it as a backlink. doesn't affect SEO as per SEO. That not say do follow links are not valuable It's just google doesn't count as a link to your site.

The nofollow tag tells search engines to ignore that link. Because nofollow links do not pass PageRank they likely don't impact search engine rankings
