Thanks for your vote. Those that do choose "other" need to post what "other" is (as a few have done). Right now it appears "Gradual Grow" is the best choice. Slow Grow has a negative air about it and the growth actually goes at different paces. Steady Grow would mean a fairly linear growth and we've seen that is not the case. Moderate Grow doesn't really describe it very well either. In the last IMF/CBI letter of intent, Shabibi describes the revaluation process as "Gradual Appreciation". Thus Gradual Grow (which can include sometimes slower, sometimes quicker growth) is the most accurate term and will be accepted by more and more investors as we traverse further along our journey. Best of luck to all and thanks to all for the votes and great suggestions!!!

I think adster was baned here he and the boss didnt get along. Slow and steady grow is what will happen..its the only way to sustain an economy...this here is no get rich quick scheme even if you bought in yesterday. You could be right about 2008 if the dinar is still really weak it maybe worth selling off cause thats the year that they can reprint if they choose i dont have a link and maybe its a rumor from a while back some kind of agreement of having the currency they have now till atleast 2008 being 5 yrs since the dinar was introduced in 2003. One thing is for sure is that there is an awful lot of interest and buzz concerning the dinar and it would be stupid for this not to succeed and for the currency to grow in value...In value i mean at least a few cents an the dollar per dinar. Theres alot of things for both sides of argument nays(realist and optomist) VS the yeas (disneyland dreamers and wishers). Remember when we were getting 8-10 pips a week before the beginng of the new year and right after...remember all the complaints in the articles of iraqi merchants having to do price adjustments daily...that shows unstableness in doing a slow grow.. they did this only to meet the goal set by the IMF...Soon after that it slowly deminished now were lucky to see 5-8 pips a month. I think the goal this year is set at 1000:1...its goal not by the IMF but the MOF this was stated in an article in the beginng of the year. Anything can happen though...but do to the history of the way things work in iraq u can bet the ISX opening will be delayed and or nothing significant will happen with the dinar. If your in the ISX it will be a great day for you you will probably have a 50-300% gain or more im betting on. But the country will not be bought for pennies as some think. EXAMP: A company share is 1 dinar and has 5 billion shares. A RV happens at 1:1 now that company is still worth USD equivalent. The company isnt suddenly worth 5 billion dollars but still a couple million dollars same as before. However the company due to the ISX opening to world market could now make that company worth 2-3 times as much in the opening week. Stock price is 1 dinar and at the end of the week its at 3 dinar thus a 3X gain in worth(the company)>>It will happen due to the market demand on hype alone...unless good press articles come out stating a huge breakthough, expansion, and or find or plans for the future or quarterly gains. Then its a reason to put some money in there and not just buying on hype surrounding iraq. Im not invested in the ISX would like to be but i wanted to do it the legal way and when its a law that states u to do so. For all those that are in now good luck to you as I will jump on that train eventually when its a legal law to do so...i opened up a warka account when i first started but never funded it....didnt want to take the chance in something i havent seen smell tasted or can touch if you know what i mean...not to mention all the scare tactics out there saying you could be funneling terriorist or whatever...cause with the NOT IN PLACE that i believe having money in there is illegal it self cause its not a law saying its ok to do so because having money in there account is investing..Anyhow there will be more big leaps and jumps as iraq grows as an economy and when the ISX go electronic. Enough rambling I hope i made sense here. TANK

I'm not really quite sure what you just said about stock values but IMO the net worth of the companies will be affected depending on what form their assets take. Companies that have large cash assets (like banks) will have a great increase in their net worth when the dinar is revalued. Companies with most of their assets in goods of some kind, will not. Still, one can never trust the market to be sensible and it's the market price that counts.
