It is not necessarily your legit questions, it is the tone in which you ask them.
Based on my observations of your responses, your tone (with all due respect) is arrogant, condescending, and a bit on the smart-alecky side.
If you perhaps rephrased your responses in a polite and non abusive tone, you would not get such rude responses. (IMHO)

this is the rumor/PREDICTION section... when one speculates, he is predicting the outcome of a given event. Granted, saying "needs" is only his brand of speculation, but he is entitled to it. Theres no silver bullet link that says CBI will rv next thursday. Perhaps someone's sources will be correct one day tho. Until then, keep the posts as respectful of others' opinions , theories , assumptions , and postulations as possible. OR ELSE!

I'm beginning to doubt if anyone has real sources as most of the so-called info is appearing at least a day or two before in the media ;-)

if they dont then the contracts are signed at the present rate of the dinar. seems rather pointless when they wanna make money doesnt it??

One point which comes into my mind is if they do not Revalue the dinar prior to the ISX opening, even with restrictions, and limited days, it would be a very slow growth period for those doing the investing, and the drive to invest in Iraq, IMHO would die very fast.

Big investors want to get in make a killing and move on, not to sit around and invest in a stock market that is paying 1235 dinar to a dollar.

Remember though that is just an opinion.

ATMC enjoys being confrontational, as he always was in th SI forum. It could be looked at as a good or a bad way to be. Take your pick.

It's worth remembering that no one knows diddly squat about when it might rv or if at all...forget about reliable sources altogether! It's all about putting forth opinions based on one's own line of judgment. Only time will stand testimony to our theories. Good luck to one and all.

Doesn't it boil down to which currency the dinar is pegged to? If it's the dollar, couldn't they just quote in dollars? Would appreciate an explanation as I cannot seem to get my head around it...Thanks in advance.

We do know that there was a good value to the IQD before the war. We know that the GOI needs to RV and a number of reports from Iraq have stated that there are those that want the RV to come in at the old value to even a higher rate.

The only three things we don’t know are, date, count, and amount! So why sweat it?
