    Announcement No.(938)
    D.G. of Foreign Exchange Control
The 938 daily currency auction was held in the Central Bank of Iraq day Monday 2007/6/4 so the results were as follows :
Details Notes Number of banks 14 -----Auction price selling dinar / US $1259 ----- Auction price buying dinar / US $1257 ----- Amount sold at auction price (US $) 44.170.000 ----- Amount purchased at Auction price (US $) 200.000 Total offers for buying (US $) 44.170.000 ----- Total offers for selling (US $) 200.000<snip snip>
I believe that this is the only information which truly is a matter of concern. The name calling, personal bashing and other bullpucky can take a flying leap into the garbage bag as far as I am concerned. When I began investing in the dinar many moons ago, it was over 1450/$1usd. It has made great strides. But second guessing a country's government is like looking into a crystal ball and predicting the winner of the Presidential Elections this month. It can't be done. Whether someone has a close contact in the CBI, ISX, or the FBI isn't going to get any more information than by the news media that is posting articles all around the globe, good bad or ugly. They will not leak out that information prematurely, and second guessing trips of dignitaries, is just 'guessing.

I am more concerned with the number of people who are dying on an hourly basis in that country. I am more concerned with the lack of sanitary conditions, the lack of electrical, the lack of decent housing, and the lack of medical and food supplies.

There isn't anything which is important other than to get control over the country, because until that happens, the lacks are going to catch up with them, and hell will break loose in that country in the name of plagues which mankind has never seen before, and the dinar will be a thing of the past.

These squabbles while one can put a poster on ignore, are overtaking the Dinar forum, and it is spreading like an disease among the posters. Such a waste of humanity.
IMHO 2 cents for what its worth...

CD, thanks for the post. I am on your side about a quick rv, but it doesn't look like it is on the way. I am unlike some of the young guns here, can't wait 10 to 20 years. My boys maybe happy then though. This is a great forum, and I just don't understand the need for the bashing. Don't believe rumors or theory or my bud told me something. Read it, enjoy and get on with life. God bless the men and women on the ground. Just got to get another cup of coffee. Where is Starbucks when you need them. Have a great evening all.

What I am saying is that it would be nice to see a thread started that stays on track. That isn't monopolized "in the name of free speech and an open forum" by people taking the liberty by misinterpeting it to openly bash and **** negativism. How many threads got shut down last week because certain people thought it was ok that this is "an open forum" to bash and trash peoples names and reputation.
Angelica was told she has a year to live and her dream is to go to Graceland. Why not stop by her web site and see how you can help this dream come true... www.azmiracle.com

I agree, negativity really isn't necessary, it just brings things down and creates animosity that otherwise wouldn't exist.
it can be said for all investors from the Arabs and foreigners, you enter now for it will be a golden opportunity for you.

I think its hard to keep a thread on track when the proposed rumor which started the thread has not panned out......and as i can recall,we have had a lot of these rumors never materialize....for whatever reason...whether its the poster just posting and "HAVING FUN" and the rumor is false to begin with or its because the Iraqi government just is too corrupt and illiterate to get the job done....noone said it was going to be easy for this government to get things right...but at least show up when u r supposed to and vote on certain laws and proposed bills...because the longer that they take to turn things around the more American soldiers[men and women] that are dying.....i'd be willing to bet that if these men{IRAQI PARLIAMENT} had sons and daughters and nephews getting killed every day fighting in another land that they would want that government to hurry up and get their C*** straight...IMHO....Pat
