Thanks! Well, if it was Bush's speech, it should have made the headlines by now in the media. For some reason, I remember reading this exact same statement ages ago...probably during Rice's visit last year to Iraq or Kofi Annan's visit...

Give me a break here. The liberal media has a policy of NOT giving President Bush ANY good press coverage. Now on the other hand if it is something negative, it will be on the front page of every liberal newspaper and the leading story of the evening news!

Case in point, when the IQD RVs and the President gives is speech about all the good that this will do for us and the Iraqi people you will have to look long and hard to find any reporting of such.

Let's not get into a debate on whether Bush gets any press coverage for good news. I was merely trying to ascertain if a statement of that nature, as quoted by another distinguished member, was made on the radio. The internet would have had at least a passing mention of it by now. Cheers...

Thank you...I knew it seemed familiar!

I guess anything is possible....but after reading one of the articles in the think tank regarding them having until June 30th to finish the OIL LAW,I don't think we'll see a revel for a while....they have requested more time to finish passing this law....in other words....another DELAY.....I really DOUBT that this IRAQI government will accomplish anything ever.....IMHO....Pat

Hi, I thought I read that even if the HCL is not complete by the end of this month, it was all systems go as far as the signing of contracts etc.
