However, I disagree on the proxy issue. Out of all the stocks traded by everyone on this forum, or anywhere else. How many people hold there stock certificates in their name? Most likely Merrill Lynch, E-trade, etc hold your certificates in proxy.

I could see an argument that the risk is greater in Iraq until there is an official trading OK by statute, but most transactions will be in proxy even after electronic trading. If you have stock certificates issued to you, you will have to physically mail them back and forth to transact business.

I certainly see your point / but . . . people accepting proxies from M-Lynch, etc. have a relationship / or a reference, etc . . . the weak link here is that people will be dealing with a whole new batch of brokers / in Iraq / & on the back end / where / when / the money lands . . . and they know -0- / nothing about Iraq's bus load of brokers . . .

Still nothing new . . . I don't blame any of you for becoming impatient / it was almost two weeks ago that I was predicting "a few days" . . .

I'm sorry / Joe & Indy are sorry / we don't see much we can do except apologize . . . they were only relaying what they heard . . .

That said, I'm still confident / way to much being finished daily . . .

And even the pessimists are yacking that US$.79 cents is do-able . . .

Thanks RR! It is so easy for any one to confuse a few days in Iraqi timing. What we did see within those few days was proof of benchmark signings. Since the pension and salaries were signed on the 19 of May and Kuwait RV'd on May 20, it is highly reasonable to match the KD rate on the 19 of May, rather than the 20th of May. It also stands to reason that no public or formal announcement could take place without the completion of the debt relief. Just like a special recipe, some ingredients have to be added in order to maximize the results. The new secret ingredient is that the relief program is as good as it gets and needs nothing more added or subtracted. Yummy!

A couple of weeks ago I purchased a number of shares from a UK Oil Company because I was passed some information regarding a particular Company - for a particular reason.
