When I asked him what he is waiting for, he replied, [SIZE="4"]"No way in He$$ am I . . . [or anyone I know] . . . gonna invest that kinda money in return for a *PROXY* . . . a small investment, okay . . . but not a big one . . ." . . .
I checked out the poll, but not much more . . .

I thought that was the gist of your post originally and it makes perfect sense. Huge amounts of cash are waiting on the sidelines for the green light to invest whether or not electronic trading is functioning. Though without electronic trading they're gonna need a heck of a phone bank....

LOL, Yes Pat asked if I needed a chair to do rescue. Said he's sorry for putting you on hold and then losing you. Said he also asked why you weren't in Fla. for the reval party. Anyhow it's good to know you're a legit businessman and not some shut-in playing games on the board.

Thanks RR for the update. VEry much appreciated.

However, I disagree on the proxy issue. Out of all the stocks traded by everyone on this forum, or anywhere else. How many people hold there stock certificates in their name? Most likely Merrill Lynch, E-trade, etc hold your certificates in proxy.

I could see an argument that the risk is greater in Iraq until there is an official trading OK by statute, but most transactions will be in proxy even after electronic trading. If you have stock certificates issued to you, you will have to physically mail them back and forth to transact business.

Thanks for the info RR not sure how I would handled that, but I can assure you humor would'nt have been involved..

There you go. The word I hate in the ER but like to here in the RC threads. "Quiet!" Anytime this word is mentioned it seems like all heck breaks loose. Thanks for the word, maybe the rumors & news will start flowing now.

yeah, a little too quiet for my taste!!

Heard from other members that Susie finally got laryngitis from all of the "wooting" and her fingers needed a little rest.

Hopefully she will be back after the summer with her friend Neno.
