Lady, you are clueless. EJAMM probably has more time, research and knowledge in this than most.
You, being the newbie, should perhaps sit back and just watch.
Having said that, EJ, I've heard similar coming from what I believe to outside the normal "circle"......still doesn't feel right, and might be based on the "aasumption" that things are about to be finalized, ie;HCL/RS, Art 140, etc.
Here's to soon though![]()

and we are in a swimsuit competition...REMEMber???Habakkuk 2:2-3 Then the LORD answered me and said: “ Write the vision And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.

Something like this?
INOC to keep 80% of reserves
28 May 2007 (AME Info FZ LLC)
Iraq's Oil Minister Hussain Al Shahristani has re-iterated that the country's new oil law will not include a clause allowing production-sharing contracts and will ensure that 80% of oil reserves will remain in the hands of the Iraqi National Oil Company, reported Reuters citing an Arabic daily.
Al Shahristani added that the INOC would control all fields currently in production and the law should be approved within two months._________________________________________

My friend you and I have been waiting for "soon" to come true for a long time now...I would really like to share that bottle of JWB soon
.
One of the key benchmarks is the HC-RS Law. I see they have gutted the Bearing Point portion....good for Iraq! Hopefully they can move on and get the Law gazetted before the end of June...but afterall it is indeed Iraq..I am not holding my breath.

Must admit, I tend to lean to the down side slightly after April's foolish optimism. I was practically ordering the house and car.
It's not that I don't think it will be sure thing it's just to keep my sanity in check just in case it's another false alarm.
Remember, most of us only know what we are told here, although, having read all the positive articles and multiple positive rumours over the past few days it's only human nature to get all worked up like this.
I've still got my fingers, toes and whatever else I can, crossed for this week but my sensible side (yes.....I do have one) keeps telling me to cool it and be patient if it doesn't happen.
On the other hand...........C'mon you stupid finance folk, get yer finger out!

I thought the Paris Club debt forgivness was associated around allowing Iraq to achieve and maintain economic stability. It starts with the agreement to cancel portions or entire debts owed to countries in stages as well as allows the policy to review Iraq's commitment to ecomonic reform.

Kurds refuse any constitutional amendments impinging on pluralism in Iraq – legislator
Arbil - Voices of Iraq
Monday , 28 /05 /2007 Time 5:05:30 </B>
By Jeman Saleh Arbil, May 28, (VOI) – The Kurds do not agree to any amendments to the Iraqi constitution that will impinge on pluralism, the deputy speaker of the Iraqi Kurdistan region's parliament said on Monday.
Kamal Kirkuki said committees were set up in Baghdad to follow up on important issues pertaining to the region, including the law on oil and article 140 of the Iraqi Constitution.
"The recommendations and decisions of these ad hoc committees will be considered by the Iraqi Kurdistan region's presidency," Kirkuki told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI). He stressed, "there are no decisions or draft laws passed without the Iraqi Kurdistan region's approval.
The draft law on oil and gas is one the most controversial issues in Iraq. Seen as a compromise between Sunnis, Shiites and Kurds, the law calls for the distribution of oil revenue to the governorates or regions based on population numbers, and grants regional governments or oil companies the right to draw up contracts with foreign companies for the exploration and development of new oil fields.
Regions will be allowed to enter into production-sharing agreements with foreign firms and a federal Oil And Gas Council will be established to oversee these agreements, holding veto power over the regional governments.
"These committees were set up after a visit by Iraqi Kurdistan region's Prime Minister Nejervan al-Barazani to the Iraqi capital Baghdad and his meeting with members of the Kurdistan Coalition, the second largest bloc in the Iraqi parliament," which has 55 seats out of the Iraqi parliament's 275, said Kirkuki.
He said there were "initial guarantees from Baghdad to activate article 140 of the constitution by the end of 2007 to bring home the Kurds deported from Kirkuk during the former regime's time and to hold a referendum on the disputed areas."
Article 140 of Iraq's constitution regulates the mechanisms to normalize the situation in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk.
Kurds claim that the demographic distribution of Kirkuk's population was considerably changed after the 1980s, following attempts by the former regime to encourage Iraqi Arabs to flock into the city in a bid to change the demographic composition of the city's population.
Oil-rich Kirkuk now has a mixed population of Kurds, Arabs and Turkomans.

OK I got it now......An RV will happen when I have Nike Air Max shoes on the wrong feet running sideways down a one way street will listening to headphones and eating a half melted popcicle.
I don't have a clue other then this I believe is a great investment that WILL pay off. This forum is addictive and at times I just want to have enough will power not to read for a day or so. I can say this, if we are waiting on the NEWS as our anchor, we will be a while because our news is more in depth and they dont report 1/4 of what goes on over here. Rumors are good but they hurt my head......................Enjoying the thoughts of early retirement
