Nevermind, I've found it. I didn't realize that the search function had so many capabilities! I know that you have so many posts, I thought I would never find it.

The SDR is an international reserve asset created by the IMF in 1969 and serves as its unit of account. The currency value of the SDR is determined by summing the values in U.S. dollars of a basket of major currencies.

Iraq: Financial Position in the Fund

Iraq: Exchange Rate as of April 30, 2007
Hi Neno, I'm not sure how to ask this question, but here goes.
From the above chart of the SDR, Sept.22,2004 was 0.000466938, so using that SDR rate what would , the Dinar have been valued at, and why wasn't it.
I can remember from my airline days, the Meridian Rate, which is the same thing as the SDR rate, was a universal rate, and helped us convert currencies to give a correct airtkt. price in foreign currencies. It was always dead on correct. If this 0.000516326 after converting figures to .19, then why isn't it?
A better question is, is that what it will be?
    Thanks, barmurphy

I love that dancing around the question...

Damn, at this point, I'll be happy with .19 fowards, backwards, left, right, up, down, reversed, inversed, in a mirror and even standing on it's head.

    Let them just do it.

Would have to find the SDR rate at that time and then do the equation to figure it. If you used the one from:

    Friday
    May 18, 2007
    1 USD =
    0.660185 SDR

Then you have your answer. But I dont know what the SDR rate was for that Day.

I can remember from my airline days, the Meridian Rate, which is the same thing as the SDR rate, was a universal rate, and helped us convert currencies to give a correct airtkt. price in foreign currencies. It was always dead on correct.

If they use the 3 zero removal they have said before from the IMF rate you have there for April 30th and use the Peg to the dollar convertion, then yes and when they are ready to act all the laws I would guess.
    Thanks, barmurphy
Now, after reading what Kuwait has just done, it would seem that Iraq may very well use the SDR Equation. And if they did from what we have of April 30th from the IMF file and use the SDR rate of May 18th, and....they implemented it now. You and I would see $1.27 now. There is alot of if's there. They will use one of these equations, that is a fact. Just since the IMF Updated 2 weeks later for the April 30th rate, it has us all Speculators really Speculating Now....

Someone please show me how this math adds up! I don't think that even on a bad acid trip. One could convert 0.19 to our 5mil!

0.19*/Dinars to the US Dollar or $5,263,157.89 per million Dinars

That's .19 dinar per dollar. So divide 1,000,000 dollars by .19 dinar and it equals 5,263,157.8 dollars.

I am not saying this is what will happen but I am saying the equation is correct.
