The Government of Vietnam has switched to the New Polymer notes for their currency. The Paper notes are being phased out for two months now. I have several of them in the 5000 denomination. I dont know forsure but, I would asume that they will always be good as far as exchanging them back. The same 5000 note is just printed on New Polymer Paper. The are taken the Old Paper out of circulation as they are Traded Back in the their CBV (Central Bank).
