Many will miss this big and long overdue wait... but then again, many have waited after similar breaking news back in 2004, 2005.... and until it truly gets to be stable by them... the waiting is the only option here!

However, that beachfront party will have to wait...maybe its time to look for another exciting spend and thrill... and thats coming pretty soon... think about it..., don't say I Din Ar tell ya... Tiffy

From what I read Mad_Scot has this right. The ISX will be open to foreigners for investment on the 15th of April, but will not be open for electronic transactions till September. That just means until September foreigners will have to make transactions the old fashioned way------->through a broker (i.e. via phone or direct conversation). No biggie folks, full steam ahead. This could actually be a good thing as it will help with slower growth, thus protecting the economy from heating up too fast, as investors will have to do a little more work to invest in the ISX. Once electronic trading occurs, I imagine the pace of growth will pick up dramatically. Hope that helps....

kind of off topic, but as much as I hated that the last couple of rumors didn't come through, it's been kind of boring today without the normal April rumors that we've had... what's the latest? We still on for April or what?!

was wondering too. Its now 12:35 am thursday morn in California. so it must be around 1pm in Iraq and the CBI is still at 1272 s0.... is this another prediction gone awry or am I too early. any replies to this need not be rude or nasty or condescending.

3. يعلن البنك المركزي العراقي اعتماد اسعار بيع وشراء الدولار ليوم الخميس المصادف 1 2 /4/2007 حتى نهاية وقت العمل الرسمي ليوم الاحد المصادف 15/4/2007 .The Iraqi Central Bank announced the adoption of buying and selling rates for the dollar on Thursday, April 12th, 2007 until the end of office hours on Sunday, which falls on April 15, 2007.
