This used to be my home forum. Offshore Mike and I started all this about 18 months ago and it saddens me to see how it's got broken up, and people have gone elsewhere or now stay in the background, such a shame.

Nice to see you stop by, brought back memories. (g) Yes, I remember when it was only the two of us starting the Iraqi dinar thread, seems like yesterday, and here we are a few million hits later, we are still hear, even if only once in a while, nice to hear from you.

As to the lower denoms being talked about, the denominations do not align with former values, and the one thing I have heard since beginning is that the same denoms will be used as before. This only makes sense since talk of restoring value to normal, so why not have the same denoms which would also be normal. Time will tell.

Very well put OSW, I am not sure if we have heard anything regading the talk of the dinar coins. No confirmation no photos no verification...any take on that?

i spoke to my brother today through email. he tried to get a picture but they are now in the bank vault. only the manager has access to this. i asked if the manager meant this weekend or next weekend he said "the manager would not go into anymore details about it at all."
seeing as this weekend is over for iraq i can only assum that he meant next weekend. i told my brother any pictures would be greatly helpful. he said he will try but it is difficult. if he has anymore news i will post. he says things are getting better in baghdad! people are opening shops that have been abandoned for a long time and people are starting to get their lives back in order.

Next weekend will be fine with almost everyone here, But the question on most people's minds is , is this going to be another Rumor that doesn't Pan out? we Have all been Hanging tight, we now Need this RV to come about.
