My unit was out of HI, but the Bowie Brigade joined us in Taji, Iraq, 2004 (along with a 1CD brigade). I always said that if they had been allowed to bring their coon dogs with them, they could have caught all the bad guys in a month! (officers carrying big ol' Bowie knives in their belts were really cool too!)

Bravo ronbo! My nieces husband did two tours over in Iraq and according to him the Iraqi people he met were not that well off.
    Millionaires I think not.

I, along with 5 other security personal accompanied the Ambassador to purchase 20,000 USD in Dinar in early 2004...
He told us to get as much as poss with our own money and that someday it will be worth 10 - 20x what we paid...
He also explained how Bremmer himself purchased over 200,000 USD worth, gosh I guess I should not be telling this but oh well...
Just don't like the Dumb white kid from the subs thing, and from what you are saying I'm dumb and was also in the war zone, is how I took it anyway...
    Enough said...
Exactly... I'm good friends with Bremer, actually. I've seen his huge dinar stash!! I cannot talk about the details though either!!

Merry Christmas to ALL you anticipating DinarDollarAirs!!!

For when that day arrive, when it arrives and NOT disappoint all the fancied fanfare and gungho cheerings...!
That you do not forget something in the least to help contribute, back to the Iraqis who may feel scalped by all the foreign friends that became rich at their very expense!!!

Rockfish has indeed a pragmatic point raised... and it is only prudent to sitback and recap and study... what the Russians are going through with their own access to wealth...only in the hands of a few....after glasnost gave in...

Raise your hopes & dreams is a good sign of positive meandering....but take it easy... B4 EZ takes U....

YB. - cheers and be merry nonetheless after today...
