NuLegacy Rx Card

Once I create my card, what should I do next?

Once your card is created all you need to do is print out the card page and take it with you to the pharmacy. Your card has all the required PBM numbers the pharmacist needs to process your prescription. Once your information has been entered it is now stored in the pharmacy's computer system and, in most cases, you will not need to present your card again. Each time you return to the pharmacy to fill another prescription the NuLegacy discount should be applied. We recommend that you keep your printed card in a safe place should you need it again someday. Remember, you are required to pay the pharmacy in full for your discounted price.

What if I want to change pharmacies?

If you change pharmacies, the new pharmacy will need to input your card information into their computer system. In most cases, if you stay with the same pharmacy chain, but move to a different location, they will already have your information and you will not need to present your card again. However, anytime you do need to provide your information, simply present the NuLegacy Rx Card you printed previously or go back to the website and create a new card. It’s that easy. If you lose your card don’t worry, just go to the NuLegacy website and create a new one. If you’re traveling and forget your card, you can even ask the pharmacy if they will go online and print a new one for you.

Does every member of my family need a card?

Yes, although the information is the same on all the NuLegacy Rx cards, we suggest presenting a separate card for each family member.

Are there any age or enrollment restrictions?

No, everyone can enroll and benefit from the NuLegacy program.

If I am not a U.S. Citizen, can I use the card?

Yes, anyone may use the program if it is used at pharmacies within the U.S or the ***** are purchased through our U.S. mail order program.

How much does the NuLegacy Rx Card cost me?

The NuLegacy Rx Card is absolutely free to everyone. Please share it with others who can benefit from our program.

What pharmacies will accept my card?

We are fortunate enough to have over 56,000 participating major chain pharmacies and local pharmacies nationwide. You can search for a complete listing of pharmacies in your area by clicking the “Pharmacy Locator” link on the left side of the NuLegacy web site.

How much will I save?

The discounts will vary depending on a variety of factors including the type of prescription, whether it’s ***** name or generic and even the pharmacy location. Savings can range anywhere from 0% - 75%, but in most cases the discount will usually be between 10% and 50%. The Mail Order Pharmacy feature of our program can, in most cases, offer the greatest discounts on long-term prescriptions.

Will I always receive a savings with my card?

Not necessarily. Drug stores, like hardware and grocery stores determine their own pricing structures. Due to large discounts from manufacturers, some ***** may already be priced at or below the NuLegacy discount price. However, as a general rule, NuLegacy cardholders can expect that 80% to 90% of the required acute-care prescription needs will be discounted below the stores usual retail price. The network pharmacies associated with the NuLegacy Rx Card have agreed to sell prescription ***** at the contract price, or their "usual retail price", whichever is lower.

Can I find out drug prices over the internet?

Yes. If you click on the "Drug Search" link on the left side of the NuLegacy web site, you can find the pricing on thousands of medications.

Do prices vary among participating pharmacies?

Industry standards determine the discounted rate for prescription medications. This means in most instances, all participating pharmacies will offer the same low price. These rates are updated at least once a week, so prices may vary depending on when you go to the pharmacy. From time-to-time, pharmacies may offer special sale prices for a limited time on selected *****. These sale prices may be lower than the scheduled discount rates, in which case the card holder will pay only the lowered sales price.

What does getting the "lowest" or "best" price on my prescriptions mean?

It means that a participating pharmacy will give you their lowest (or best) price available at their pharmacy. In 80% of previous transactions, that price will be significantly lower than any retail or sale price you would receive without the card. If a ***** name or generic drug is available through your participating pharmacy at a lower price than the NuLegacy price, you will pay only the lower of the two prices.

Can I use this card with my current insurance towards my deductible?

Generally yes, but refer to your contract of insurance for specific answers. In some cases, depending on your insurance and the prescription co-payment, the NuLegacy Rx Card may provide you with a greater savings. We encourage you to ask your pharmacist about each prescription to find out which program offers you the most savings. This is especially true if you have a large co-pay.


Lab and Imaging

Do I have to pay BEFORE I go for my test?

Yes. When you call the scheduling department, they will give you the reduced price and ask you to pay by Credit Card, Check or payment by Mail. When you call the scheduling department they will give you the reduced price and ask you to pay by credit card or check-by-phone.

Can I pay at the testing Facility?

No. One of the reasons that you are getting such a heavily discounted rate is because the provider knows that you have already paid for their services and that they do not need to go to the trouble of collecting your payment.

Do I have to go to the doctor first and pay to get a prescription for the test I want?

Not always. Many of the lab tests do not require a doctor's order. We have doctors on staff that will write the order for the test that you require at no cost. However, for imaging procedures you will ALWAYS need an order from your doctor.

Is there a limit on how many times I can use this service with these reduced prices?

No, there is no limit on the number of tests that you can have completed and every one will be priced at the special heavily reduced "Members Only" rate.

I know there are many tests now available to find out my health status, but where I can go to find out about them?

An excellent website is www.labtestsonline.org external link. On this site you can search by Lab test, disorder and even by age to see what tests should be performed for each age group.

Will the schedulers explain what is included in the procedure?

Yes. If you have questions, particularly about the imaging procedures, the schedulers will be happy to provide details about the test you have been prescribed.

Can I cancel any time?

You can cancel any time you wish. There are no contracts with us.

What about when I need supplies again?

You have the option to select either a one-time payment or we can automatically re-bill you every 3 months, so you have to do nothing but sit back and relax We will send you an email 10 days before your next delivery is due to alert you. You also have the option in your member area to change any preferences.
