It is highly unlikely the company personally sent out Spam. I know a few people in our Team looked into the company and found that it's operated by several individuals with great business history. I don't think they would ruin their reputation with Spam.

Maybe a few overzealous members got carried away with advertising, for that and as a member of this program - I Apologize.

That being said:

This program is going great.

I'll suggest to the Admins. they should Ban any member that uses Spam Email tactics.
