I thought that a PONZI is something that stops working for H or R as we say in spanish...and also BM's intentions of helping a lot of people just backfired
doe to ignorance and arrogance on his side about being untouchble and all...
destroied a lot of dreams in the prosess and lives...with advertising the "Product" [you think it is a good thing and you bring in all the neighbors-family]...before you know you are a wanted person and have to move from the neighborhood and into another state...and take that 'junk of a car with you'; you could not afford a better one becouse PIPS did not work...therefore...a PONZI.

?Me puede prestar una palanca de neumatico?
We are not pointing fingers, just looking at the facts and how things progressed. It aint a pretty picture I agree but its not down to one man here, a lot of forces worked against PIPs, some of them I hope we can bring into daylight.
    Take care

    Going back to Picpay/Speedwallet.
Below is an update from their site.
You can see how they had tightened down the screws since PIPs first involvement with V A T
Notice they state the platform was still under developement..late in the day for PIPs with the
events that followed, so maybe Bryan never got the chance to finalise this deal.

    VAT Update: June 14th, 2005
    ----------------------------------

The New SpeedyWallet Payment System is under development. VAT hopes to
make an announcement within the next several weeks that the system is
complete and that PicPay Members can start the registration process.

At the time of the announcement, PicPay Members will be directed to the
PICPAY.COM website where there will be a Button located on that site
that says Open Your PicPay SpeedyWallet Account . By clicking on this
Button, you will then be directed to the PicPay SpeedyWallet Registration
Page. Instructions will be on this page to assist you in filling out
the application information. After you have completed the application
process, you will be directed to your PicPay SpeedyWallet Account Page.
VERY IMPORTANT!! Your PicPay SpeedyWallet Account will NOT BE ACTIVATED
until you have pre-funded your PicPay SpeedyWallet Account with the
Activation Fee and six (6) months of Monthly Service Fees. There are
several methods for funding (Loading Solutions) your PicPay SpeedyWallet
eWallet account: (i) ACH & SWIFT transfers, (ii) Bank of America locations,
(iii) Western Union Swift Pay locations, and (iv) Wire Transfers.

Once your PicPay SpeedyWallet Account has been activated, VAT will
notify PicPay with your account information so that PicPay may transmit
    funds to your account.

PLEASE NOTE : YOUR PICPAY SPEEDYWALLET ACCOUNT IS THE ONLY PLACE THAT
YOU WILL BE ABLE TO REVIEW YOUR ACCOUNT TO SEE IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED
FUNDS FROM PICPAY!!! IF YOUR PICPAY SPEEDYWALLET DOES NOT SHOW ANY FUNDS
RECEIVED FROM PICPAY, YOUR PICPAY FUNDING WILL NOT BE DISPLAYED ANYWHERE
    ELSE.

WITHDRAWING MONEY FROM YOUR PICPAY SPEEDYWALLET ACCOUNT: (i) you can
withdraw funds from your PicPay SpeedyWallet Account by transferring the
money electronically to your bank account, or (ii) for those PicPay
Members that would prefer to transfer their funds to a Prepaid Banquecard
ATM Debit Card (rather than a bank account), there will be another
Button on the PicPay SpeedyWallet site that will direct you to a page that
will allow you to purchase a Prepaid Banquecard ATM Debit Card. Some
additional information will be required and you will have to pay for the
card at that time. Payment for the card may be made through your PicPay
SpeedyWallet Account. As a condition of purchasing a Prepaid Banquecard
ATM Debit Card, you will be required to deposit (load) additional funds
to your account since the initial funds that you deposited will be used
to pay the PicPay SpeedyWallet Activation Fee and six months of Monthly
    Service Fees.

After you have paid for your Prepaid Banquecard ATM Card, a card number
will be assigned to. You will then go to www.speedywallet.com to open
    your Banquecard SpeedyWallet Account.

PLEASE NOTE: YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO OPEN YOUR BANQUECARD SPEEDYWALLET
ACCOUNT UNTIL YOUR BANQUECARD HAS BEEN PAID FOR AND A CARD NUMBER HAS
    BEEN ASSIGNED TO YOU!!

At the time that you open your Banquecard SpeedyWallet Account, you
will have to pre-fund this account with the Activation Fee and six (6)
months of Monthly Service Fees. The Banquecard SpeedyWallet Account is
strictly for the management of your Prepaid Banquecard ATM Debit Card.
There are several methods for funding (Loading Solutions) your Banquecard
SpeedyWallet eWallet account: (i) ACH & SWIFT transfers, (ii) Bank of
America locations, (iii) Western Union Swift Pay locations, and (iv)
    Wire Transfers.

PLEASE NOTE : PICPAY WILL NOT BE FUNDING YOUR BANQUECARD SPEEDYWALLET
ACCOUNT!!! PicPay will ONLY be funding your PicPay SpeedyWallet Account.
However, once you receive money from PicPay, you will be able to
transfer any amount of money (up to the balance in your account) to your
Banquecard SpeedyWallet Account (from your PicPay SpeedyWallet Account).
Once you have accomplished this, you may immediately be able to withdraw
funds from any PLUS ATM worldwide.

    Cheers
    paddy

I, too, am enjoying getting back to the facts.

With regard to the problem with HSBC; I understood that the Patriot Act passed in America caused a money-laundering charge against HSBC who then looked at all their transactions and found that PIPS could be implicated, and so refused to continue acting for PIPS and its members. This could well have been because so many members were making multiple withdrawals daily and to different accounts. (I believe Bryan mentioned this at sometime and may well be why he is considering limiting the frequency of withdrawals when PIPS returns). All the other payment platforms were both greedy and not agreeable to the terms Bryan wanted, so he refused to do business with them. His worst sin, in this respect, was not to keep us up to date.

I remember members themselves suggested limiting wd's to one a month
but management never did anything with it.

What a weekend. Put on over 500 miles in less than 24 hours. Here, there and everywhere.

Paddy: Thank you for your kind wishes. Smith1all, you as well.

LARGO my friend, I have maintained from DAY 1 that this was a personal vendetta against BM, among other things. Greed played a part, yes, but never, NEVER forget the revenge factor.

Now, on to the matters at hand. I do believe that we left off at January of 2005. AzMIA: In reading your latest response, I get the distinct impression that you wanted to say something more.......care to enlighten us? Also, Paddy, Sir, we need to move on beyond SW, Picpay and work toward the next events. Most of what we will now be talking about is internally generated, ans deals with communications, operations, and logistics.

Before I ask any questions, would someone like to volunteer to brief us on the merchant program, including the directives (yes, DIRECTIVES) that a new payment platform (as well as a new bank) be established?

Once that is complete (and my last two questions, as well as those posed by Taxman are answered) I will proceed with the disfunctionality of Pips Operations. We will leave no stone (that we are aware of) unturned and WE WILL NOT ACCUSE ANYONE OF ANY MISDEEDS!!!!!!! I CANNOT STRESS THIS POINT STRONGLY ENOUGH! WE WILL NOT POINT FINGERS!!! That comes later...... (bwahhhhaaa) - [that's sinister laughter.....]

Things will move pretty fast here, folks. Please, please ask questions in blue that you would like answered or if you have missed something. It gets very convoluted from here on out, and one must stay on ones toes to keep abreast and away from emotional tendencies.

We WILL be dealing with SOME assumptions, here, and anyone and everyone is free to contradict/correct/criticize our conclusions. This way, we all learn.

We haven't gotten that far, yet, but if anyone would like to answer the question, feel free. I guess I've never asked, as I was always more concerned with cause and effect; i.e. something happened and then someone left or was told to leave.

    ******************

In March 2005 BM still did not want to limit members w/d; he did not want any type of limitations. Members were requesting limitations at this point to help streamline and speed up the backlogs. There was talk of the new bank in Cambodia opening within the next couple of months.

I do not believe the Merchant program was introduced until around June 2005. It lived a short life.

Sorry if I am jumping ahead.
