Hello friends
Reasently a fellow pipster that I know recieved an e-mail from PIPS.
He has never been logged in to any forum like this one ore simular.
As far as I know he have kept the same e-mail address since he joined PIPS.
Does this mean that somebody have access to the database with member accounts and the e-mail list for members, or is he just a victim of hackers ?
Best regards
RB

The database was haked long ago
I have 11 pips accounts, each with it's own e-mail address and these addresses have never been registered or used for anything but pips - I get spam on several of these which tells me that some of the e-mails in pips did get out. I'm not concerned about it though for PIPS is currently inactive and will likely take awhile to come back but when it does I suspect there will be many changes and likely more secure.

A small clue, Roab. Think back to what happened (twice) a year ago. Draw conclusions from that.
I would pay no attention to any emails unless you can verify the source. I have a couple email addys that are solely P*ps, and I haven't gotten anything.
Dismiss them as unfortunate disturbances by someone(s) with little or no honor.

I recently received an email from MJESales. Are you sure it wasn't from them and he got on their mailing list when trying to buy Visa Gift cards or something?

Hi friends
Like I mentioned, it`s a friend of mine who got this e-mail. I`m going to remind him on monday to forward his e-mail so I can take a look at it. I will also copy it into this thread so maybe someone can tell me what this is.
Thank for the good replies I already got.
