    Interesting,

HYIP, High Yield Investment Program, so how would you define high Yield?
Anything over and above normal available rates would qualify, so why do some want to say PIPS was not a HYIP? Was it because it changed to a loan instand of investment? So I would have to assume it is a HYLP, so would that be the qualifying factor why PIPS is not a HYIP?

Inquiring minds want to know. This has always been tossed back and forth by some and I could never understand why. Not that is makes much difference, but it would be nice to see how others define a HYIP? (g) 2% per trading day sure seems to fit high yield classification in my opinion.

    Good luck to all, Mike

    Actually 'the truth',

You never did give a 'version'. You simply stated: "My guess is that the same happened to PIPS as to most other HYIP's!"

Personally, that is pretty vague, as you never identified what happens to other HYIP's..

Now, newlife simply responded with, Pips does NOT equal HYIP.

Unless you can prove that Pips was/is shut down, then really your basis for this argument is really quite mute at this point. According to Bank Negara, I will quote them:

"Bank Negara Malaysia is still working closely with the relevant authorities and is currently still in the midst of investigating PureInvestor.com, Inc., PIPS Inc. and its related companies."

Now according to the dictionary, midst means:
    1. The middle position or part; the center: in the midst of the desert.
    2. A position of proximity to others: a stranger in our midst.
    3. The condition of being surrounded or beset by something: in the midst of all of our problems.
    4. A period of time approximately in the middle of a continuing condition or act: in the midst of the war.

Hopes this clarifies a few points...

    Mike,

Just to make a clear. Most (95%) HYIP programs on internet are quick short term run away programs, and most of them are scam way they are set up.
Only few pay, and if they do not watch themselves they close fast.

It's true that Pips is making High Yield return, but in way different structure, so does not belong in same category as you see every day type HYIP programs. If you read breakdown of Pips investments per Bryan you would see big difference.

That is why I said, as I said. PIPS is not in same category as other ordinary HYIP programs.

    I got shades on BTW.

Thing is if PIPS was completely clean and everything was 100% legit, then I doubt that this would have happenned....and I doubt it would undergo month's of investigation if everything was compeltely legit...

There has to have been some issues..
