Default An open Request letter to Bryan and PIPSTERS

    Dear Bryan and PIPSTERS,

May I take this opportunity to say I was very delighted to be part of this great family and hope for the best come 2006. Much of this would not have been possible had it not been for my sponsor www.*********hits.com way back in April 2004 when I then joined PIPS. I loved every bit of every morning when I log on and see my ROI (ROL) grow day by day. By the time PIPSINC crushed, I had a very large account earning $$,000 per day.

I made great friends at the previous forum through which there were excellent actions of fund raising in support of worthy causes around the world. This could have continued to date had it not been for the technical interruptions PIPS underwent around this time last year.

I come from a very poor country in the middle of nowhere in Africa. The country is called Uganda. My home is in the Northern Part of Uganda and in particular Lango region, Oyam North Consituency. Here, there has been war between Government Forces and rebels of the Lords Resistance Army. The innocent women and children has been the victim of the war for close to 18 years. Many children have never seen a class room hence do not know how to read and write. Morals have decayed due to inadequate guidance.

A few month’s past, I decided to run for the seat of Member of Parliament (MP) for the year 2006-2011, for Oyam North so that I can be in the best position to fight for the rights of the suffering people back home. As an MP, I can be in a position to advocate for the direction of resources for the benefit of the disadvantage community, who are living in squalid camps made of grass and reeds. With a total of over 2,000,000 people displaced from there homes, there are over 8 camps in Oyam North alone! With each camp having between 8,000 to 50,000 persons. Children die every day. Livelihoods are lost. There is no hope for them. It is a lost generation. This is a problem. Unfortunately, this mishap is not reported in CNN and BBC that is why the world does not know much about it.

I need your help towards supporting my campaigns for which consultations have started. The main elections are in March 2006, but I need funds to start it off and target the primary elections slated for 20 December 2005.

I shall appreciate your financial contributions for the following items.

Cost of transport second hand FOUR wheel drive pick up
(because of very bad roads) $15,000
Cost of campaign posters (10,000 pieces) $ 4,000
Cost of nominations ( 4 sub counties x 3 lorries
    x $1200 hire cost) $14,400
Cost of campaign agents facilitators $30,000
    Total cost $63,400

I may be asking for too much or too little but if you feel you can be of help please do so in order for me to stand and help a suffering people, which is also one of the reasons why PIPS was created.

All contributors shall be acknowledged in a special way on this forum and confidentiality shall be observed.

I am asking PIPSTERS, Well-wishers, Politicians and foundations to forward payments to my e-gold account number: 1875560

    Hello lutwyche,
Thanks very much for the encouraging words. I am aware that there are some nice PIPSTERS out there who have other priorities like supporting needy PIPSTERS in the spirit which Bryan founded for all of us. Besides, all of us seem to have lost hard earned money in PIPS, hence people tend to think for their own personal interests other than the interests of a community in need like the one I cited above. I call upon all the nice PIPSTERS to come up and support me to achieve the intended goal.

    Best wishes.

    Wacky,
Yes, I believe in my personal ability and selflessness and that is why I have come up to vie for the MP seat to help the suffering people.

    Greetings,

You are to be commended and I wish you well. I have helped those in the region with low cost housing developments, and if I get this current project contract, I will be happy to donate to your campaign as a fellow PIPSter. Keep us posted and again, I wish you well. Think how much help you would be getting right now if we all had been paid as promised.

    Good luck to all, Mike

There are people everywhere needing help. I would suggest going to your church first. That is where I give, because I know where the funds are going and get a print out of financial statements.

I suggest people do their DD before sending money anywhere. Be smart

    ragstoriches,
I'm afraid your point (if it is: only donate through a recognised organisation) is hard to make in this case because we're talking about supporting politics here.
Because... as far as I know... in my country I *think* a non governemental organisation (NGO) like Red Cross or Doctors without frontiers/Médecins sans frontieres, Unicef (NGO?) or any other... is *not* allowed to donate to political parties/carriers... as to avoid blending of interests. But... maybe some church organisations are allowed and willing to do so.

    So... Julius,
I think it's actually a good idea if you could (build contacts and do networking so that you can) provide some names of/links to organisations with which you have an agreement that they will forward donations to your cause if these donations are explicitly declared for that purpose.
Then, maybe there's also some standard procedure already in place you can refer to. And... a church might have bank accounts at different continents which are more easy to reach then E-Gold. But that's maybe not a primary issue right now.

Maybe members with a more professional background in this matter can provide you some more substantial and usefull tips.

On a final note, don't let this sound like I don't trust you, Julius.
It's rather that I think it's true and human that providing an official channel might convince more members that you're in good faith.
If they already don't tend to donating to other structural help, like the work Mike talked about.

    Take care - and success!

    Mike,
It is great to hear that you helped to fight poverty in the region through the provision of low cost housing developments. For contracts in my country, if you need help in checking the authenicity of the applicant organisation, feel free to contact me. I pray that you get the contract you are refering to in the post so that you may donate some funds to my campaigns.
    Best wishes,
    Julius
