That's why I think BM will give us another chance in a better programe and with all our PIPs money and we'll see each other in Portugal.

    Good point.
I agree, I dont think he has a choice here. He HAS to at least transfer what we had in our accounts at the time the site went down.

I agree. It just doesn't make sense that we wouldn't get at least a healthy percentage of our PIPS accounts. Remember, it was labled "high risk", and wasn't guaranteed, (was it??), so given all that has gone on, it may very well end up being devalued to some degree.

But to say that maybe we won't get anything...doesn't make sense, not given the apparent fact, or should I say expectation, that the Bank is not finding anything significantly wrong.

I'm emotionally preparing myself for a 50% devaluation...but maybe it won't be that much...or maybe there won't be any devaluation at all!!

But whatever's in PicPay is guaranteed, and I expect to get every penny.

I also have nothing to invest. I had already invested $1000 into PIPS 14 months ago. I am not too sure if the original investment will be carried over to the new PIPS.

Just wait a little bit longer. We are going to turn the luck around!

Bryan has been saying all along that he will get the money back to us so I dont believe we will start from scratch. I'm with Caroline on the devaluation. I hope it wont be less than 50%, but then again, its better than nothing.

I dont see what this would matter. As long as the Picpay that you traded for wasnt fraudelient, it shouldnt matter
It would matter a lot. If picpay is virtual money, then fake money was being put into new accounts. I would call that a problem.

If what you say here is true, then PIPS/Picpay was a fraudelient company and it will not be cleared of its current allegations so there will be no "restructured" program to transfer the accounts to.

yes we were all made aware that PIPS was high risk, but that does not include if we were being frauded. If that is the case then MR Marsden will have a LOT to answer for. I agree with moremoney, As long as the Picpay that people traded cash for wasnt fraudielent, then Bryan has to honor those accounts.....or he will be going through this again.....(if it is like you say, that Picpay was "fake" money.......that is FRAUD!

. Yes, I hate that this can all be a fraud.

My elderly parents put in almost 15K, and exchanged it for picpay because they were told it was the best way to get their investment into Pips. This came from people that have been in since the GW era. If the people trading picpay for cash were not educated enough on the rules of how Pips worked, they should not have been taking cash for picpay and should have had us wire the money to Pips. I’m just saying that many people could be in a huge amount of trouble if this thing is not brought back into operation. Legal and Tax problems can come into play. I know I cannot possibly be the only person who has concerns about this. Many perfectly good people could have legal issues on their hands and I would hate to see that happen.

Yes, everyone knew it was a high risk investment; however it’s not an investment if the money (cash) never made it into the investment and those people pocketed the cash..

Crucify me if you must, however I just want people to know what has happened to many of my friends and family members.

    Cheers

Ponzi Scheme: Named after Charles Ponzi, who ran such a scheme in 1919-1920. A Ponzi scheme is an investment scheme in which returns are paid to earlier investors, entirely out of money paid into the scheme by newer investors. Ponzi schemes are similar to pyramid schemes, but differ in that Ponzi schemes are operated by a central company or person, who may or may not be making other false claims about how the money is being invested, and where the returns are coming from. Ponzi schemes don't necessarily involve a hierarchal structure, as in a pyramid scheme; there is merely one person or company that is collecting money from new participants and using this money to pay off promised returns to earlier participants.
