I too am against the "do not question" mentality. And there is too much of it, along with mindless and meaningless chatter.

But I have maintained my belief in Bryan, despite accepting that his own limitations created the PICPAY fiasco, because I look at what he has not done!

He has not encouraged recruitment. (He cancelled recruitment incentives and banned PIPS-promoting websites).

He has not encouraged investment while the payout problems exist(ed). It was just as hard to get funds in as it was to get funds out. Most 'inputs' were done by way of exchanges with members trying to extract funds. And that sort of transaction does not put any significant funds in Bryan's pocket!

He did not just disappear into the ether like so many other HYIP sites, here-today and site-for-sale tomorrow!

He maintained through the troubles some semblance of a communication process, however flawed, unlike many who even now will happily suck your funds but never reply to you request for confirmation of performance.

And for the record, I put in $10,000 in July 04, and have had out over $50,000 directly and indirectly ( mostly directly) since then. If Bryan was running a PONZI he would have made sure that his rules prevented that sort of return. It would only have required a minimum investment period to have prevented extraction of profits, and then away - like a thief in the night!

Bryan undoubtley has to accept responsibility for the fiasco that is/was PICPAY. A half-dumb businessman could have done better! But business incompetence is not a sure sign of dishonesty, nor is it an indicator that his investment process is flawed.

With the demise (temporarily I hope) of PICPAY/PIPS, I have decided to try my own, less than experienced hand at Forex Investment, using several of many Demo Accounts available on the 'net. In my first day I did 4 trades and made over 20% profit. (3 up 1 down!). I want tell you how much I lost on Day 2!

But the fact is all the nay-sayers act as if 2% per day is absolutely unachievable, and therefore proof of fraud. But that is inaccurate thinking, and a fraud in it's own right!

So while I don't think we should ignore Bryans faults, neither should we condemn him too roundly. He has shown far more trustworthiness than any other of the failed HYIP deals that are no longer around!

    GrahamB,

What a most thought provoking and logical post. I agree with your post, and at the end of the day as to what is fact and what is fiction, who knows? None of us have any evidence that even in the BM forum/threads here that it is the man himself, we are going on faith that it is from what those we respect on the www at least, have told us is the man.

We all wished time (our lives) away from when we initial loaned (back in June 04 it was invest) into PIPS, waiting to see our compounding accounts return a hopefully miraculous future for ourselves and to be able to help others. Was it achieveable? Absolutely when you look at other returns on the FOREX market with different traders/account managers.

Are we to keep continue wasting our lives waiting for pips resurrection with no firm end date in sight for 100% assurity or are we going to get on with our lives, hopefully find some other tangible small investments and just hope in the background that Bryan will be able to resurrect something.

I do believe in the man and have done from his visions in the beginning. I trust that as he stated "picpay is secured by gold", and eventually those funds should come out to us, because of that reason. If this is not the case, then that to me would be a blatant lie we were told by the man himself, and as so many state, "Bryan doesn't lie", so it MUST BE secured by gold, don't you agree?

It will be interesting to see what comes out of the restructuring and how this is done fairly based on the amount one invested in good faith in PIPs and the timeframe one was invested/loaned for. Can you imagine if timeframe invested and amount invested weren't equally considered, what future anger poor Bryan would go through with a restructure? I'm surprised that there hasn't been a logical request for suggestions on thoughts that should go into a possible restructure (the actual restructure itself could still remain hush, hush), but based on your comments GrahamB about some of the Pips companies set ups in the past, maybe Bryan is now open to some input/suggestions from members? I remember when any innocent suggestions were made in the past, messages would come out along the lines of "don't tell Bryan how to run his company, or if you can do a better job set up your own company". Hopefully now Bryan will acknowledge that suggestions from members are by no means one's way of trying to tell anyone how to run their company, it's just several heads for ideas to be tossed around and considered are usually better than just one or two.

As you can see I don't post very often, and neither did I in the old Pips forum or others, but I do observe, more often than not with head shaking . Hopefully someone who spends more time in Forums on this subject than I do will maybe start a thread on "Restructure Considerations/Thoughts".

Just an idea, which I hope doesn't get flamed.

May we all from not on be lucky, work smart, accept our mistakes, but above all learn by them.

I think it's a wise idea of putting some Considerations together and we can all (including BM) learn from the mistakes of the past. Of course it would help if we had some idea of how this whole Pips was organized. Why did Gary leave? Was he forced out or he simply disagreed with Bryan and was able to forsee the troubles ahead and abandoned the sinking ship... Anyone has any idea?
