I'm inclined to agree with Heartfelt. I feel that contributions should be pro bono publico and eventually available to all.

This was precisely the reason for the poll... some of those who donate have made the (very valid) point that they are in effect subsidising those who don't want to. We are only asking for $2 here, but I do appreciate some can not afford.

We have to try and respect all members wishes. The only way to do this democratically was to have a poll. If the majority think it should be available to all, then this is what will happen. Make sure you vote.

All the more reason as to display and confirm the representation shown as echoed by the poll

It is not a wrong decision taken to set the poll but it is in the right step towards ALL who wish or cannot or dares not for fear of being scoffed at or whatever unpleasant fears that may arise.

This way, the poll is independent in voicing on behalf of ALL involved and on itself, for it shoulders the burden of either, support or resentment, in a fair and democratic form where no one needs to be intimidated by the other.

It is even more appreciated with those that are aware and in the position, to share their donation on behalf of those who CANNOT or ill-afford anymore esp. after being "taken for a ride" to be mild here, with their lost venture and hopes hence, to be sure that these unfortunate "victims" who are badly ruined and affected, that they are genuinely unable to afford even the least minimum requested, we have our compassion for them by donating more and as affordable as we can on their behalf.

The poll in itself, will determine just how we shall pursue and continue to proceed... I wouldn't be too perturbed from it but it will be right to allay away doubts and concerns after realizing, what is approved is the right decision taken as voted by the majority who cares for their fellow members with their generous donations as well...and for this, we are all appreciative of EVERYONE in this together!!!

As for those following this thread, please do not jump into any conclusions however, it is not ridiculous or preposterous to have "Anyone" posting and saying they posted or donated whatever sum...and nothing of that ever took place.

So, be aware of such acts..its nothing strange but there are strangers that do such things... its NOT nice...but it occurs unfortunately...and it can be most distasteful and is a mockery too at those who are donating out of their genuine heart in supporting while we can have "lurkers" also trying to take an insensitive shot at what we are trying to achieve with the fact-finding mission...

Regardless of such crazy characters we are surrounded with... RC and the supporting members should be proud of themselves for standing up to what we are all unified in...a BIG to YOURSELVES for being part of the ROLClub fact-finding Forum Group!!
