It is indeed a gamble for most albeit through this Forum or elsewhere... stashing and affording whatever one can just to be fooled or call the devil's bluff with his side of the bet and game.... the operators setting up with the intention to scoot off someday where the majority least expects...is very much alive and REAL!!!

Its a gamble Mike and you I know, makes calculated ones which is a margin far wider than most here that jumps on any oppportunity made available...

Very interesting too that Barry is aware of your history & experience ...

Keep it alive guys... we wish this stays afloat for as long as it takes....

Aww.. you beat me to it!

I find it funny that everyone assumes that gambling = Arbitrage now. As if no one would bother placing an uncovered bet anymore LOL.

To be honest, one idea I have toyed with which I think could turn a long term profit would be to place only Value bets. That is, use an arb program like RFP and place bets on the overvalued favourites. Since the favourite is most likely to win, and in order for an arb to be created the odds ahve to be unreasonably high... over the long run you are statistically driven to turn a consistent profit.

In other words, you are doing what a bookmaker does: using the odds in your favour. it isn't risk free like arbitrage, but the increased risk is offset by the increased returns.

    Just a thought.
