You wake up tomorrow with all the powers of Superman. What do you do first?

This is one of my fantasies. I often consider this question when waiting for a bus, walking somewhere or lying in bed unable to sleep.

And I know it is completely trite answer, but I would try to 'fix' the world. I wouldn't want to do it myself, I would want people to solve their own problems, so I would use my powers subtly and discretely to guide humanity into doing the right thing.

Most importantly, I am acutely aware that power corrupts, so I would always think long and hard about my actions, my reasons for doing them and the ramifications of them.

I think my most important goal would be to expose corruption and enforce true democracy. Totalitarian regimes cannot withstand scrutiny. The mere knowledge of my superman powers and benevolent support for democracy and fairness would spark revolutions in totalitarian regimes.

I would make it known that I would use my powers to foil any aggressive invasion and nuclear attacks, and hold the politician/military aggressors personally accountable. That would free up the world for disarmament, and would have a severe boost to the economy of many countries. Any country whose economy suffers because of the removal of its military-industrial complex, should suffer.

In essence, I would be a fairly hands off dictator, trying my hardest to remain benevolent for as long as possible, and hopefully resigning before that power corrupts me too much.
