Not a crazy idea there too...you may like to take that opportunity on your self...I'm sure you will gain equal support on that commitment... Think about it.

Stay posted with your feedback and progress...this is perhaps a great Forum to start launch your initiated movement to raise funds too...goodluck.

This is a small thing, but believe it or not, the next time that any of you buy Girl Scout cookies, spend a few hundred (we'll be able to afford it) and tell the scouts you want to DONATE them to the troops!!! (THEY LOVE IT!!)

Whatever...that's an AWESOME idea! My husband works with 2 guys that have gone to Iraq and we sent over a HUGE box of Slim Jims from Sam's/BJ's...The guys really enjoyed them also...plus they don't melt in the heat over there.

My cousin from Michigan lost both of his legs when he stepped on a landmine in Vietnam...the things that he has accomplished after the fact is unbelieveable...

My girlfriends dad lost both of his legs when he stepped on a land mine also...he has two 'new' ones and really does GREAT...

    They are 'lucky'.

I haven't posted here yet because I get rather emotional at the thought of all of the fathers, brothers, sons, moms, sisters, daughters and the danger that they face every day that they are deployed.

I have a cousin that completed a tour last year and went back...because he wanted to.

I live near an Airforce base and see people in their uniforms all the time and I feel such a tug in my tummy and in my heart...Yes. Iraqi Civilians have died during this war. Yes. Soldiers have died during this war. YES. Terrorists and insurgents have died during this war...That is the reason WHY it's happening in the first place...Iraq has a government in place...the armed forces are plucking the 'weeds' one-by-one...They are working toward Unity, Prosperity, the ability to NOT live in fear, and complete Freedom...and I, personally think that the progress that has been made so far is AWESOME.

    Just my .02...
    Much love to everyone...

Yep! I am a Girl Scout Leader, and this past year, our troop took some of our profits and sent care packages to the soldiers. We have a soldier who attended out elemetary school send a note of the things they wanted. Besides the cookies, they asked for Crystal Light drink mix(the individual packs that they can dump in their water bottles) Individual Tylenol packs, slim jim's, chapstick, crackers, and of course letters to keep their spirits up. It was a good feeling to send these packages off, and the soldiers that received them sent letters back saying how much they loved our packages.

There are sooo many among you that are worth putting up and living for...thats what makes you stand out...as much as others too that seeks peace and goodwill and calm with harmony, so all can live with a common goal to achieve prosperity...the peaceful way!

With that goal taken away, shattered, for the unfortunate... we have a heart to remember their loss and those that grieves even more for that eternal loss...resulting from the evil in men that caused these hardships!!!

Great and good to go with solace when recaptivating and reminding ourselves...we do and want to do good, so we can live better lives together and prosper....albeit your difference in skin color, your success in a job environment or your pleasantness as a neighbour...

You resonate that humility you possess and character you echo with your compassion for the less unfortunate and bitterly struck families that continues to suffer.

Little can be shed for those that are part of the evil men and families that create the chaos of others....for they had a choice, to stop their evil sons and daughters from throwing stones and maiming others and if they deliberately avoid that duty, and befall at the hands of firefights skirmished between our soldiers and their insurgents they support, then goodluck to them for they had a choice, they had earlier deprived themselves of!!!

I hope more like Choochie and Tiffany and earlier postees, will continue to come forward to shout out loud with support and praise and prayers for the fallen men....they should not pass away or die in vain...they can see and hear us all...let your hearts speak and be shared by the rest....

Civilian death toll in Iraq spiked to nearly 6,000 in May and June, U.N. says
    By NICK WADHAMS

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    19 July 2006 (AP Worldstream)
Nearly 6,000 civilians were slain across Iraq in May and June, a spike in deaths that reflected rising sectarian attacks across the country, the United Nations said Tuesday.

The report from the U.N. Assistance Mission in Iraq describes a wave of lawlessness and crime, including assassinations, bombings, kidnappings, torture and intimidation.

Hundreds of teachers, judges, religious leaders and doctors have been targeted for death, and thousands of people have fled, the report said. Evidence suggests militants also have begun to target homosexuals, it said.

    Hey All

I have just heard that some US and Australian forces have been told they will be redeployed to Israel and to prepare for a major war. I dont really know how true it is. BUT IF it is true this does not bode well with me and the Iraqi dinar. Come on peg that dinar before a major conflict! Anyway it sounds like it is going to get a whole lot tougher over there for our soldiers.....

The sad part is that, young soldiers pay with their lives, while those who cause the war for poilitical gain in most cases, sit at home in safety and comfort, sipping wine and eating choice foods. Thoughts of the soldiers' plight is only referred to in public when challenged. Never does it happen in private over loss of sleep.
