    Iraqi Parliament: the profusion of proposals was the reason behind the failure to reach agreement on the election law

    Kurdish lawmaker: We support the holding of elections on time, provided the distribution of seats in a fair

    UN proposal regarding election is realistic – MP

    The Iraqi List Parliamentary bloc supports the UN proposal with respect to the voted down election bill, the entity’s head said on Saturday.

    “The House’s speaker and head of Parliamentary blocs discussed the veto that was made by Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi, which sent down the election bill,” Lawmaker Jamal al-Bateekh told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

    He said that the meeting tackled a number of proposed solutions, but his bloc supports the UN’s, because it is the one closer to reality.

    Abbas al-Bayati: Most see the need for parliamentary blocs response veto

    Al-Azzawi: The most likely veto the veto election law
