Well Kiko, everything happens for a reason, and i believe we are seeing something remarkable here.

This is the first auction since early December that they have kept the same rate (correct me if i am wrong) And suddenly they stop at a rate that when you convert it you get exactly 1 Euro if you move the decimal.

With the decline in the dollars value and the rumours we have heard that they will Reval it in Euro. What are the odds that the last auction for this year would end up at a perfectly converted rate if moving the decimal 3 places? You tell me?

Have you tried all of these? Barclays Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, Nat West Bank and The Halifax Building Society. They're the only ones I know of. You could try contacting Travelex. I'm not at home at the moment so don't have the phone number at hand, you should be able to get it from their website. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I agree, maybe it doesn't fit, but if you swap it fits perfectly to 1 euro.

This whole investment is in my opinion very well planned and a genius plan with no coincidence i think.

It's to perfect to close the year like this and also put a statement like that on the CBI.

There is something coming up Raditz and I wish I knew already!

Dean, you always have ebay and i have bought some dinars from a dealer in England. It will probably cost you a bit more but if you believe in the dinars and are in a hurry it then the extra pounds is no big deal.

I posted last week where I had heard on the Worldwide Exchange that the UAE announced that they were going to convert a large portion of their reserves from USD to EURO. I have not heard anything since but could be significant if other countries follow suit.

Wow, no change today. Can't figure this one out yet. Have to think on this awhile and go back over posts from yesterday to try and figure out what they meant. Especially the one about the current rate and the next auction being the 7th of January. Interesting that they were able to pull in as many dinars as they did today even without lowering the rate. Must have figured that since they are going to be closed for a few days the commercial banks were going to need the dollars and had to buy them, didn't need to lower the rate as an incentive for them to exchange. Interesting that they stopped right after they reached a 10% reduction.



1. No point change in the dinar today. Remains at 1325

2. A $4,925,000 (net) worth of dinars, (IQD - 6,525,625,000) out of circulation

3. 7 banks participating.

4. 54th auction since the beginning of CBI's reval plan

5. 89 days into the CBI's reval plan.

6. 2,873,290,777,000 dinars pulled from circulation !!

7. 2,288,790,000 Dinars back into circulation today !!

8. 152 dinar change since Nov 1st (baseline was 1477) 10.291% increase in value of the dinar since beginning of reval plan.

9. 35 point reduction in the rate so far this week. Was at 1360 at the end of last week, 1325 this week.

10. 110 point drop so far in the month of Dec. Ended at 1435 in Nov, now stands at 1325

Hello everyone. I think the CBI ended the year exactly where they wanted to. The last two weeks have been exciting to say the least. Around a 87 dinar move over the last 10 auction days and ending the year with over a 10% increase in the value of the dinar. Very good. Especially good since they have positioned themselves to begin the new year with the iraqi people and the world knowing the currency is appreciating. We have all read reports of the dinar drying up from banks and dealers, this is not surprising since they (CBI) apparently have been removing dinar from the economy all year under our noses. So, ending the year where they have is all part of their plan to increase the value of the currency further. Todays auction reminds me of a holiday auction. Few participants, low volume and no change in price. Like they have placed the dinar in a "holding pattern". I understand they will not have any auctions until Jan. 7th or 8th. It surprises me they can stop the auction process for so long, but this is Iraq. The holiday break gives the people and the economy time to adjust and gather further speed, which I feel will happen. The currency is still grossly undervalued considering their resources and if we should get confirmation on the FIL & HCL, then all is set for the new year to be a very rich one very quickly. The 10% rise in value has by now alerted everyone in the world financial community and all "eyes" will be on the dinar. Already prices from the dealers have gone up. And I believe they will continue to do so since the CBI has not sold dinar in any significnat amounts since before November. No supply, increasing demand, and a postive change in market psychology that is expecting a continued rise in value which will result in increasing demand and higher prices. All good for us. None of this precludes a new years eve SURPRISE! Hope everone is having a great holiday and enjoying themselves and family. Thank You.

No DM, it is true, we are all friends and if you only knew how much I like you all then you would know. The forum is were I have gathered most of my Info and ideas. With-out people posting there Info and ideas, what would I have? Not much at all.

As I have said before, Im horrible when it comes to finding articles. I spend most of my time e-mailing people and asking questions. People sometimes loosen up when discussing something unusual, such as our Investment.
