We have certainly seen an interesting news day, or should I say old news day. (g) As we have seen over and over, Iraq recycles articles as news when in fact it is jumbled up pieces of old articles, so don't worry about what has been going around today.

The HCL is done deal, it is not a dead issue, you will see this on Sunday enacted, the only last hold up last week was the same issue Kurd's had debated earlier, and that was about the oil yet to be pumped. This was resolved already, so don't worry about it.

The 10K has still not been mentioned at all, so we still see that this is tied to revalue for what other reason could there be for such a long delay after annoncement by gov. There are many odd things about this gov, but as we have seen, it is full of illiterates and this has to be solved so those in parliament make the proper decisions, not just the usual party line BS just like in U.S. gov. (g)

No sell offers expected as dinar rate gets higher-economist
Baghdad, Dec 12, (VOI) - The Iraqi dinar scored on Tuesday its highest exchange rate to the dollar in 2006, fetching 1,416 dinars compared to 1,419 dinars on Monday.
Demand was slightly up to $18.180 million from $18 on Tuesday, the bank said in its daily statement.
The bank covered all bids which were $8.330 million in cash and $9.850 million in foreign transfers.
None of the 11 banks that participated at Tuesday’s auction offered to sell dollars.
The economic expert Mr. Abdul-Razzaq al-Abayji told VOI “no offers to sell dollars are expected at the daily auction in the forthcoming days if the dinar exchange rate to dollar kept soaring up due to the Iraqi Central Bank policy to offer dollar for sell at a dinar exchange rate higher than that of the local market.”
Most brokers dealing with the bank daily auction, al-Abayji pointed out, depend in their earnings on the margins resulting from selling dollar at a dinar exchange rate lower than that in the local market.

I noticed this also as I was trying to catch up last night on all of the news. OSW knows what he's talking about and wouldn't have posted this if he wadn't sure about this info, He has ties with some KURDS over there that are friends I believe. COME ON REVAL!!!!!!!!!!!!
