Thread: Iraq/Dinar News. 09/05 to 01/14/07

This past week there were a number of re[ports that people were not able to buy dinars at certain banks. Have we had any additional input on those statements and is it still confirmed that the purchase of dinars is on hold?

Seriously now, what is remaining for them to do if they don't reval this weekend? Is it the HCL or have we missed some other significant part of the checklist that has to be in place for them to be able to enact the reval?

Yesterday I called the CHase bank that I use to get dinars. They said " Come in, no problem. "

I don't think the banks will stop selling/buying though. JMO

Do they annnounce late today, thursday RV & FIL?
Do they announce Friday RV & FIL with their banks closed which would make the rest of the world wait until monday before they can cash in?

i wont rule late today out how as of now its 427pm in iraq. I dont think it will but they have been known to work till the early am ..


as far a a RV friday i dont think enough private people in the world have enough dinar to make them consider putting it off to keep everyone from cashing in.. if 1/3 of the world population had some then i can see it .. but as it stands they're gotta be less than 3 million people with dinar out side of there country. but again iraq marchs to there own beat so who knows.
i think that sunday will be interesting to see what happens.

as far as the boa rumor. i wont rule it out. but something doesnt sound right. theres a rumor that it will be traded on the 13th that only one maybe two people have heard .. and then to add to that its just one branch on the east coast.. im not imspector gadget but it wouldnt be that hard to track down the source of this leak ( and rest assured someone telling this kind of info is a leak )

Hey, I'm not particular....I would gladly settle for 3 or 4 oil wells, 2 natural gas reserves, and a fig farm to round it out. Either way it is all good. If the automatic enactment comes into effect a month then that would be tomorrow....if it is 30-days specifically, there are 31 days in October and if you count from October 10th TODAY IS 30 DAYS

Thank you, I was referring to the banks in Iraq. I understood that there were reports from a soldier and also from someone who works in Kuwait that they tried to buy dinars (from Iraqi banks) and they were told that dinar sales were on hold and they could come back later and purchase after the reval. Am i correct in this?

correct. One of them was from fsndirector i believe. Another one was a person in Iraq that bought every week or friday dinars at the bank and was last week told that he could not buy anymore dinars because they would revalue or it was only possible after hitting the forex.

Haven't heard of this anymore, I also check for updates. found nothing yet.

Your right, there was more than one mention of that and with a soldier who bought regularly in Iraq and a business person who bought in Kuwait..I am not sure which thread that was on.

Yes, you are correct.
I wish we had a few iraqi buddies on this forum that can tell us what's going on...
