I asked if they would exchange them for cash and was told as far as they knew they would exchange them unless something changes in Iraq. I can confirm that as well worf. I ordered some yesterday from my local Chase branch, picked it up today, and was told they would exchange it whenever I was ready.

Could someone please tell me which Chase banks in Denver are exchanging the Iraqi Dinars. I live in Pueblo, CO. and the main banks I talked to said they would have to send them out. I will not let those out of my possession. So I would like to open an account at a Chase bank in Denver so I can exchange them when they hit the market, unless somebody knows of a bank a little closer to home like Colorado Springs, CO. for example.

I would like to make a suggestion to the Admin/Mods here...

I/We are all very grateful that you have restored what I believe to be the BEST forum out there for discussing the Iraqi Dinar!!

Since the "Crash of '06" a lot of our posts were deleted. I recommend that a new thread be started, archive this one, and get a fresh new start going!

That way, when the Reval occurs this Thursday, we won't have to wade through old posts to get to the "Meat and Potatoes"!!

Demand was down $11 million to $43.015 million from $54 on Monday, the bank said in its daily statement.
The bank covered all bids which were $26.875 million in cash and $16.140 million in foreign transfers.
Ali al-Yassery, owner of an exchange office, told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI) the lower rate of U.S. dollar against the Iraqi dinar was due to a shortage of local currency against an increase in the foreign currency supply leading to a lower demand for dollars. Why is the 28th now an auspicious date for a reval?
Is it just a rumour or is there some reasoning behind it?

But just look at the sad desperation in the last few pages. Will it be Thursday? After Ramadan? During Ramadan? Waiting on this or that act?
Even the long c/p posts with stuff from Iraq, if you knew what it was saying instead of just picking the "economic reform" and assuming that means a RV. What all those posts are saying, is that they are not going to revalue the currency, not are they going to let it float (because it would collapse).
Deleting my posts (which were by the way correct, the last "special date" didn't happen) dopesn't change reality. There is no basis, none whatsoever, for a revalue. I see people harping that it has to happen before any foreign investment, which is exactly wrong, if it were to happen it would kill any prospective investment (it does after all make something that can be bought today for a dollar cost $1400 tomorrow, and who buys after the price goes up that much?)
The illogical conclusions I see people clinging to is stunning. You are all making a big mistake.
