How much does one usually invest? 1 million dinar? Do we allow them to choose which stocks or do we need to choose? Very, very new and alien to me.

Invest only what you can afford to loose...You have two options to fund your account.
1) Wire funds from an existing account (this costs about $90 in wire bank fees)(but you get an exchange rate of 1250 per dollar, probably better than what you can buy the dinar for now)(this option is good if you want to increase your investment amount)
2) Fedex dinar (costs $50-60) (this option is good if you do not want to increase your total investment)

About picking stocks...you pick the stocks. But, you have to remember a few things. There are only 93 (or is it 94) stocks on their market. Only about half trade on any given day. Most people are advising to invest most of your amount into the banking sector. At this point it is hard to get information on most of the companies, so it kinda like a crap shoot. Most ISXers think that when it opens up to FI that all the stocks will go up.

As has been said. Warka seems to be in a backlog, so if you think you might do it, the first step is to open an account, which could take a few days, plus that does not cost anything.

Yes was just giving her the Warka info .....and yes that is the ISX address...you would email your stock pics to....along with your authorization letter for them to transfer dinar from your account to purchase stocks ...

OS where is your account located? They open one for me in Germany and said to fund it in us dollars.. I have done nothing, cause I didn't quite know what to do..HELP!

my account is in Warka bank in Baghdad....I funded it by sending Dinar by Fed Ex .....it takes 4 days and many have done it this way with no reoprts of problems at all.....

Why would they give me an account in Germany?
How can I open one in Baghdad?

Why do you say your account is in germany? Is it because that is where you wire your funds? If so all wire transfers go thru germany. If you send dinars it will go direct to Warka in Baghdad...

If you wire your money you can only fund it with U.S. dollars...
