Question Will we ever get to a point

where we realize there won't be a revalue or will we always think that it's just right around the corner?

I think if we were to never see a RV that we also would not have any announcements stating such and so would we always be in this perpetual state of "any day now"?

The word revalue is a term that can be interpreted in a couple ways.

I see it for what it is. The Dinar is undergoing a revaluation based on certain economic forces. It's value has risen significantly (13% in one year or so). One could say that is a revaluation. It is still undergoing that same rise, albeit at a slower pace lately.

Your post is provocative since it appears on a forum filled with optimism and a definitely biased "crowd".

The thought of an overnight reval is parallel with the thoughts of holding that winning lottery ticket. You bought it, the odds are high but the chance is definitely there. You ran the numbers, even discussed them with friends on the lotto forum. You all agree your numbers should be up next drawing! If they don't, you buy them again and your odds just got better (assuming you buy the same numbers each time).

This forum is filled with the optimistic dreamers. I am one of them. I hold the "lotto" tickets we call Dinar. Someday our numbers will hit. Maybe tomorrow, maybe next week, maybe next year or beyond.

The faithful here believe in the dream. I am one of them.

I agree we should not jump at every sign of an impending "reval"....just sit back and enjoy the ride!
Do unto others....you know the rest...

Here I am getting my Dinar News Fix waiting for that "Bold Adjustment"

Makes sense except for the part about increasing your lotto odds each drawing.
What is increasing is your expected return...not your odds. Your odds are the same for each set of numbers in each drawing. I see what you are saying though but What I am asking is this....

Unless we see continued gradual movement will we always think that an overnight "pop" is just around the corner assuming it hasn't happened yet.
Maybe an example would be better.

Let's say that beyond all of our abilities to understand what in the flip Iraq is doing let's say that the Dinar moves ever so slightly here and there amidst news articles of every variety and lets say that 4 years from now we are sitting at 990 dinar to the dollar....will we still be expecting this sudden "bang, you're rich, overnight pop any day now" even 4 years from now? Who will have hung it up by then and who will still be waiting with bated breath?

    Talking

Waiting can be very hard if your investment was to get a quick return on your money. If you can’t do the wait, don’t invest. However, there has been times where I have felt like that lone vulture on the tree limb thinking, “Patience my A*S, I’m going to go out and kill something!

BEYOND YEARNING FOR WEALTH, I DO THINK IRAQ WILL BE A FAILED STATE
AND MAYBE OVERUN BY IRAN OR OTHERS, LONG BEFORE 4 YEARS FROM NOW
UNLESS IT HAS A STRONG ECONOMY AND THAT MAY NOT PREVENT IRAQ'S FAILURE. BUT I DO NOT BELIEVE IT HAS ANY CHANCE WITHOUT A STRONG ECONOMY. COULD BE WRONG,HOPE I AM BUT THATS HOW I THINK & FEEL.
YES I HAVE A GREEDY STREEK BUT I ALSO WANT IRAQ TOO SUCCEED.
NO BUYING POWER, NO PASSIFIED/HAPPY POPULATION,NO SUCCESS FOR
    THE NATION. J,M,O!
THUNDERS JUST A NOISE BOYS, LIGHTNING DOES THE WORK!!

What we are witnessing is an appreciation in the value of the dinar along the economic lines projected by the IMF and other reliable outfits. To reach the levels that are being thrown around without much diligence, it will take a long time. Volatility in currency does not suggest such a dramatic revalue. History isn't keen on such a theory as well.
