Default Did we lose the Iraq war?

Had the TV going in the background and Jimmy Kimmal show was on. While making a joke about John McCain they showed part of a debate where he stated "Presidents don't lose wars, Republicans don't lose wars,...Countries lose wars." I wasn't aware we lost the war in Iraq. I guess it's just another case of the liberal media painting it as such.

When I here information like one of the RC posters provided today of how the Kurds have such a stable and normal life, at this moment, it just confirms to me that the media is biased.

I guess thats why I here about this on Jimmy Kimmel instead of the news. I find it hard to watch mainstream newscast. I've also began to trust news articles from the middle east instead of mainstream newspapers.

Perhaps I should feel grateful. The media and congress puts pressure on Bush; Bush puts pressure on Iraqi leaders; and as a result the Iraqis are pressured to get things done including the RV.

    Chief,

McCain's statement above was a reply that he made during the debate where his point was that the cost of losing this war won't be paid by the president, or the congress. His point was the cost of losing this war would be paid by all of us (the nation). He was basically telling the democrats and republicans to stop bickering and win the war or we as a nation would pay the price for the loss, not the politicians. He wasn't saying we lost the war, he was telling the *****s in control not to lose it. It was meant to wake up the public by telling the public that they were going to pay the price if they didn't get behind the war effort and tell their congressmen to get it done.

Well if we want to get technical, we did win the War, the War was against Saddam and his army, we won that war.
What is happening now is something different altogether.

I've just returned from my 4th tour in Iraq. The diffrences between then and now are amazing. While problem areas exist, the bad guys are becomming increasingly marginalized by the Iraqi people. The Iraqis have had it with the bombings and kidnapings. For the most part the Iraqis are "work a day charlies" like you'd find anywhere else in the world. They just want to get on with getting on. They love us for freeing them from the former ragime, but they also want an opportunity to run their own country.
To even consider that we might have "lost" is assinine. The folks who push this message have an agenda.

Default They hate Bush more than they love this country!!

Since that period of time we have been fighting criminals & terrorists. Nothing more, nothing less. It is the liberal news media and their secret backers that are miss-labeling and hiding the real facts behind what is happing in Iraq.

Until we stop the congress from running our military and trying to NOT hurt the feelings of these thugs the problems will not go away. It is a well-known fact that criminal activity only exists where it is tolerated.

You will never (other than Fox News) see the liberal media interview our troops showing the schools, public projects, and ho*s*p*i*tals being built, repaired, and opened to the Iraqi people. If the truth got out about the progress in Iraq and not the hipped terrorist activities they would lose the support they get for free now.

For the crying liberals about the death of our troops just look at the stats for D-Day June 6th and that was for only one day. It is over 60 years after we won WWII and we still have troops in Japan & Germany! It takes time to help rebuild a nation and help them become self-ruling. When it comes to terrorist, you can’t wait for them. You have to track them down and take them out to be safe.

Lets take a stand and stop this push to except the Chicken Little Syndrome! The sky is not falling and we are NOT losing the war in Iraq!

Very well said! Both your post and the next one. The problem is written above, the dems hate Bush more than wanting to see us win. Hopefully they won't have to experience the terrorists first hand on the streets of our city's. That would wake up a whole bunch of people that believe the sound bits they hear in today's new clips.

The murders that occur daily in our own city's are far greater than the number of troops killed in action on any given day in Iraq. Even though any death is tragic, I'd rather die protecting my country, then being murdered by some gang banger on the the streets here.

Default Anti Gun Lobby -- NO WAY!

I think that says a lot about it!

I am in no way anti gun. I am an NRA member and have had a carry permit for the last 17 years. Glock with 17 round clip is my choice. I have no problems with drug dealers or gang bangers at by properties in the getto. They leave me alone and steer clear. Thank you very much.
