No, there is a new picture than this one. This one has a 5000 dinar note on it and it is signed by other members of the group that he worked with. It is a very large poster behind his head...different dinar note. I really wish I could get that picture over here, you would see what I mean.

If there is any one that can get to the Post and Courier in South Carolina and get that front page picture you will see what I mean. I can't even scan this until Monday at work, but then it will be in black and white. I am telling you, this note that is on the poster is a 5000 dinar note, several members of his team signed the poster.

I have to go out for a little while but I will check back later. If anyone can come up with that picture it would be nice to see it on here for everyone to be updated. I am saving a copy of the daily news paper from the Post and Courier. See ya soon.

ok so there was a picture of the dinar in a newspaper.... is this supposed to be something to get worked up about?

Well, I found the article in the newspaper online, but there is no picture with it...just a couple of advertisements.

Whats the big deal here a 5,000 dinar note is common??????. I have several of them.

the big deal to "some" was not the fact that itwas a 5000 dinar note; for "me" it was a big deal because I never saw anything mentioned about the dinar "new currency" in our local newspaper here. I have seen plenty in the Iraqi newspapers and others, just happy to see it come home. If you are not interested, don't worry about it...I am excited all by myself. I was thinking, what great timing and in our local, Charleston, SC newspaper.

I'm sorry but I just don't get the importance of this........

There isnt a big deal about it. I think smcquiller was just excited about seeing a pic of dinar in US papers instead of Iraqi papers (not something I have seen myself either). She just wanted to see if anyone could locate it for everyone else to see, (you know, one dinar member helping another). Seeing that there hasnt been any news posted in 3 hours....its the most exciting thing we have going at the moment.
