I lived in Ipswich, Suffolk for two years while stationed at RAF Bentwaters, back in the day when there was a poll tax. Beautiful country, and your tornado pilots are FEARLESS!

I was stationed at RAF Bentwaters '89-'92. My son was born in Heath Road Hospital, Ipswich. My best assignment.

I heard about that, but no I didn't. The town itself was perceived as one of the most haunted town in the UK. Saw some very strange things.

    Hi all,

Well, I was born in Walthamstow which is now East London (E17), but was still classified Essex at the time. Grew up in S.W. Essex, and moved to Sudbury, Suffolk in 2001.

As for cashing in, that's the trickier bit I suppose. I'd suggest an accountant or a bank would be a good start. Adster might be able to help out here - any suggestions mate?
Well it may be worth getting a few together to get the best possible bank rate. No doubt the more you have to exchange the more chance of getting a better rate at whichever bank. But then you have the logistic problem of meeting up to do it, where to meet etc. I know a few in the US have got groups together already and will exchange together.

I know personally once this hits it will be worth shopping around and getting rates. IF it hits at say 1 to 1, (the rate we'll cash in) there will be a huge difference when cashing in several million if they differ say a penny or 2.........
Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

Good points. Perhaps it'd be worth organising groups? Say London/SE, Midlands, Manchester/NW etc?

    Anyone interested?
