At the risk that you might actually enjoy it, consider yourself well and truly slapped!

    Sorry Lgl, I had too.

Seriously now though, if I can be taken so after a comment like above. Adster you said that you have been asked about "when are you going to Iraq?" when you purchase dinar. I have been asked that everytime I have purchased at Chase here in the states, except for the last time which was 2 weeks ago. For the most part it seemed it was just curiosity from the bank workers-they seem to be intrigued by the thought of meeting someone who may be going over, but about the 2nd time I purchased from Chase the bank manager frowned and appeared chagrined as I told them it was for an investment. When I came in to pick them up the next time, she told me I should use a different branch because she thought she wouldn't be able to help me anymore. Since, then I just say I own an engineering company and leave it at that. Let them think what they want. Then I don't have to deal with the attitudes.

    Cool Good Ideal

For when you have to deal with Bank personal of this nature. If I had to deal with a Person like that. I would ask for the next in charge and have severe complaints.

My Chase bank manager is so graceful and tankful that I have sent somany to them for dinar purchases. If help them all with something new in the Foriegn currency to train there tellers of this. Heck My BM has even done transactions for me over the phone. Now that is above and beyond. Which is where my business will go always.

Advise, set them straight and move on. Their lost not yours. All this means nothing about questioning you on if you are going to Iraq, or you tell them you are a Investor. Frankly it is none of their Buisness. They7 should bend over backwards to make your transactions and give you a lollie Pop too.

Thanks Neno. I am aware of that, but sometimes you can't help the ignorant and hard headed folks in this world. I would rather just follow the path of least resistance for the most part, which is what I usually do. Helps me to forget about the problem children a little faster. I usually just sigh and go on about my business.

It is kind of funny, but last night I went out to an Italian restaurant that my wife and I love. We go there usually every week or two, just to enjoy ourselves. We always do because the food is excellent and we have gotten to know the manager a little and like him a lot. Last night the waiter was a real jerk to me. I happened to ask him to bring some items that I normally get with no problem from the waiter/waitress, but this guy disappears for half the meal and then when I politely remind him he cops an attitude. He proceeds to disappear without refiling our drinks for most of the meal, and without attending to any of our other needs. I had asked him to refill the bread one time and he replies that wow you guys eat a lot of bread, to which my wife jokingly replied "he ate most of it" and pointed to me. Well, the guy disappears again, and right before he brings the bill I asked him for the bread, to which he replies "I've never seen anyone eat so much bread... How can you eat three loaves".. Well, at this point I was beyond a pissed, but now this guy is an *****. He can't even remember that he has only brought one loaf the entire meal and then acts as if I have already eaten two more when the 2nd one he just brought is still siting on the table, and it is as we are about to leave. Now I know that this seems petty, but for the most part I tend to ignore petty people, but to be honest I had had a crappy day and for this little weasel to ruin the one enjoyable moment I was having was really grating on me. So, I felt I had to let him know that he was a real heal. As I usually tip fairly well, I left him a note that said...

    Dear XXXX,

We usually tip well over 20% when we come here as we always have a good time since we enjoy the food, but seeing as you seem to prefer small portions I am leaving you the following small tip. Tell XXX the food was great as usual.

So yes it is easy to be petty, and sometimes it is warranted, but as good as it felt to take a shot at this punk, I would have rather just enjoyed my evening, sans attitude and any angry words.

Bad day yesterday, I called my local Chase Bank, to find out if they are still selling Dinar. Although I have never purchased from them, I have inquired about purchasing. The last time about a month or 2 ago, I went into the branch, no one seamed to know what it was. There was one fellow however that did, and said he had sold some recently to a customer. As I am not a customer, he didn't think he could sell to me. I took his card anyway.
When I called yesterday, it was his day off, so I asked the fellow who answered about the Dinar, he admitted he never heard of it, and couldn't find it on the computer. Then he asked me if I was going to Iraq, or just investing. I said what was the difference. And he said there is a scam out there, and if I was investing to watch out...He really ruined a good part of my day, until I got back on the threads, and decided what the heck did this guy know, I had to spell Dinar for him. I know there is a risk to this, but everything tells me it's going to happen. For all the history of the Dinar I have read, from 1932 on, the USD equivalent was from $4.86 to $3.00+ to $2.00+ to .32cents per 1 Dinar in 2003. They no longer have Sadam, they only mine about 8% of their land, and are ready to start mining another at least 30% more, they bring out about 1.7MBD, and expect that to increase to between 5 & 6MBD in the next couple of years. How can this be risky, unless they change the currency, which no one thinks will happen, and if it did, they would have to exchange the Dinar we now hold for the new, so we might not gain if that happens, but we also can't lose our investment...

This kinda went down the same with My Wife and I before at a local Fire Mountain. I got so rebel about we just left. Then the next afternoon acouple of our Children came to visit and wanted to go to Fire Mountain.

Now this was the Next Night. And yes believe it are not we got the Same Waiter. My wife just laughed at mw as we going to be sitted. When she did that and the waiter came to the Table, I ask him, "you remember us last night". He said YES SIR, I do. This Guy bent over backwards all night for us and Our guess and made up severally for the actions the night before.

So he got his 15 plus % from not just me, but from my Kids and their familes too. I think he got the point. Customner Service in the USA, can be measured and dictated. Sometimes a point just has to be made.

Now when we visit the place, this Guy jumps to wait on us. lol

I hear what you are saying. Friday I was at the bank and asking a similiar question, I am trying to find out where I am going to go to cash in when the RV comes. Anyway. the teller went to look up on the computer and she said they didnt even have Iraqi dinar listed. They would buy Jordanian and Kuwiat dinar, but showed nothing on Iraqi dinar. went looking at some banks on line did some searching and havent found anything either. do I have to go to Iraq to cash in? Well if anyone can shed some light for me I would appreciate it. Im in central Florida.
