ثار جدل في مجلس النواب العراقي حول مشروع قانون الإستثمار في صناعة النفط الخام الذي قدمته الحكومة إلى البرلمان في جلسته اليوم الإثنين ،وكما كان متوقعا لم تطرح الحكومة مشروع قانون النفط والغاز الجديد على الجلسة التي تقرر رفعها إلى غد الثلاثاء .Controversy raged in the House on the Iraqi draft law on investment in the crude oil industry presented by the government to parliament in its today, Monday, and as expected was not offered the government a bill of oil and gas on the new meeting to be filed until tomorrow, Tuesday. The members of the Parliament a draft law on investment in industry, oil derivatives in the second reading, and some of them scored several observations by ... بعضها لغوي والآخر فني وتقني .Some of the language and the other artistic and technical.
He asked the member of the House of the (Iraqi National List), Dr. Wael Abdel Latif, "not to allow foreign companies to invest in the oil industry, but after that there be an Iraqi solidarity ... He added : "We also must increase the penalties on the companies if it sold crude oil did not repeat it."
And Yesterday, the House of Representatives today quorum, which is the first of the parliament in the third legislative chapter ... ورأسها الشيخ خالد العطية النائب الأول لرئيس المجلس ، بعد غياب رئيس البرلمان الدكتور محمود المشهداني عن الجلسة لأسباب غير معروفة .Headed by Sheikh Khalid al-Attiyah, first deputy chairman of the Council, after an absence of Speaker Dr. Mahmoud Almshahadani the meeting for unknown reasons.

Because this is not in the interest of the country. "
For his part, drew a member of the House of Representatives (Kurdistan Alliance) Saad Alborznji out that the law on investment in the oil industry "would soon issue to resolve the crisis (in oil derivatives in the country), since its implementation requires several years."
He continued, "to delay the issuance of the law for one month would not be too much, compared to the time it takes the advent of companies to invest in this sector."
According to the version that was read today in the parliament of the draft law, the rationale for the legislation "an opportunity for the private sector to invest in the liquidation of crude oil, would be the establishment of the filter by investment companies as global conditions ... The Ministry of Oil refineries that supply crude oil at world prices, which raised one % ... The transport cost. "
According to the law, he is entitled to the investing company "leasing land for a period of (40) years excluded from the Iraqi Rent Act, and is not entitled to the company that owns the land commended by the liquidator.

In my opinion, why would they revalue the Dinar to still be worthless against the dollar? that would make no sense to me....

    Jola,

Bottom line is up to now all we have heard is what they intend to do. Quite a few on other forums have given up and whatever news you post you get the same old, 'believe it when I see it'. The longer people have been in this investment the more they get downbeat. I can understand it to a point.

They have to start showing results and the lack of agreement above is NOT the way to start. The HCL was supposedly going to be rubber stamped in Parliament......

Similar to the CBI quotes posted last page. Shabibi needs to do something within days/weeks or investors/companies will grow disillusioned and invest elsewhere like Syria.....How much longer are their people expected to suffer?

Time they stopped facking about and got on with what they keep preaching. Words are cheap, action is needed.

IF, and it is a big IF we have no revalue once HCL and FIL are enacted then I'm outta here with half my 'wad'.

OMG! Don't let me bring you down! There is every reason in the world to be enthusiastic. I'm just a born pessimist. No such thing as a "Dinar Goof." I'm the one who knows nothing about investments and/or the dinar. I just get a little down about it sometimes.

I STIll believe in the RV, I just have to not try to understand Iraq but it is impossible at this point. But again I have not lost faith...........SO RV'NG I GO. (Recreational Vehicle that is.) Gotta have some fun.

    Okay, don't laugh now...

Here is what I did this morning....
A couple days ago there was an article that kinda hinted that the dinar will go on forex ( when the first article about the CBI new policy came out) - money market, blah, blah...
Yesterday we had the CBI news page updated with old news. LOL

Now, this morning I have been watching the dinar not moving on a live currency converter...for about 30 mins...Right around the time when the nY stock exchange oppened, because of the note of the bottom of CBI rates page that says " the sunday rate will be the same on monday due to the NY stock exchange".

I just had this feeling that today is the day when the dinar would actually go on the Forex. That's all. That's why I am a little down. It was wrong guts feeling.

Now , what else do you call that if not "goofing"? LOL
It is not you, guys! It's the darn forex converter!! LOL
Thanks for picking me up - Adster, apwerner, countrygirl...I don't like being a whiner! LOL

Just a thought, I am going on memory here... Haven't we seen this behavior before with the GOI? Everything starts to truck along, then they delay...follow up with a statement that they are going to move fast on a particular item (ratification of the FIL for example). Then we see some story of delay/arguments/conjecture, then... BAM! Everything is all good the next day.
