I asked 2 people in iraq so far. One that is educated and knows a lot about whats going on and one that is just an avg iraqi. The educated one said it might go 1:1 in the next 3 years. The other one said it would be very very difficult at this time......

No Offense
No offense but if you had asked the Germans that question in the 1940's you would have gotten the same answer. If and when this happens it will make their life better and after reading the news today I believe it will happen soon. Today the House voted to try to stop the troop build up so I'm sure when the President and Maliki were talking today they discussed this, so Maliki and co. should really start pressing to get things done now. Time is running out so now is the time.

I will make the rarest of posts just to put my thoughts here. There will be no reval without a passed HCL. The HCL has not been passed to date despite suggestions/thoughts/opinions. This is what I have been told and what my sources have told me, all of which are reliable/non bs'ers and trustworthy. I hope more than anyone I am wrong but we're looking at a reval between the end of March and early April before the summit on 17/18th April by all accounts.
The rate is good, over a dollar. I won't post again here just wanted to put my point across that IF susies rumour does not come into fruition then we're still in good shape within the next 6-8 weeks tops.
Don't be downbeat IF Monday comes and goes without a reval this will happen, The HCL needs to be passed asap and then the SBA can be done away with and they can set their own rate.
IF no reval by June/July time, personally I will look to offload half of my wad, as there will be no reval and a slow and gradual increase that doesn't do any good for anyone involved.....
See ya.

Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

Good to see you Adster, but with today's news I'm hoping that things speed up. The democrats passed the resolution today in the house that's going to stop the build up of troops, so GWB and Maliki will have to go ahead and kick into high gear to get things done. Time is short.

Great news for us and Bush!
Iraq PM tells Bush of 'dazzling successes' in Baghdad
Feb 16 10:47 AM US/Eastern
Iraq's Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki told US President George W. Bush by videolink that the first few days of their countries' joint security plan in Baghdad had been a great success.
"He told President Bush that the security plan had seen dazzling success during its first days and that the government will deal with every outlaw in a firm manner whatever group they belong to," according to his office.
Some Sunni Iraqis fear their Shiite prime minister might use the security plan as a cover to advance his own group's interests, but Maliki denies this, and cited the example of aid he said he was giving Sunnis in western Iraq.
"He said the sheikhs of the tribes in Anbar Province play a very important role in the hunt for Al-Qaeda and that the government will supply all kinds of support to these tribes and start reconstruction efforts," his office said.
According to Maliki's statement, Bush thanked him for showing leadership, and promised the United States would continue to support his efforts.
Bush has come under fire at home for vowing to send an extra 21,500 troops to join the 132,000-strong US force in Iraq in order to support Maliki's moves to pacify the capital, which is in the grip of a sectarian war.
The US House of Representatives was expected to vote later Friday to express their disapproval of the plan, which has already seen thousands of US and Iraqi troops deployed around Baghdad without encountering much resistance.
It's about time Bush gets some GOOD NEWS to shut up the naysayers and Democrates! Let's keep this roll going until the BEST NEWS ....our r/v
