Happy New Year! Hard to believe that another year has come and gone. Hope 2008 is a great year for all.

Well, it is crunch time for GPP. Soon it will be known without any doubt if they are real or not. Seems 2008 has started out really bumpy for GPP. The good news is they have extended the additional signups through the end of January. Well, it was and wasn't good news for many. But if you really want to force their hand, stop buying additional policies. This will make them close this part, and then they will have no more excuses for delaying the next step for the initial group. Hope you only bought one policy so your loss will be minimum. I still find it hard to believe that people will send their personal information to someone they don't know, and you won't know until they have approved you "supposedly." What happens if they don't approve you, or reveal who they are?

I would suggest you contact chicosan and Stella so they can explain if they don't. Seems there are also problems with refunds on policies not accepted. Didn't someone post here that they "knew" people who had been refunded because they did not qualify? Maybe they can explain why as well. Just a suggestion.

Happy New Year.....yea im one of those GPP suckers..But the thing that amazes me is these experts on here who tell you how big a mistake it is for us to be a part of scams like GPP but not one of them has the answer to something that is not a scam and us little gullible people can make a few bucks doing.
    Sorry for my bad attitude.

I might suggest that when you send in the documents on your Identity to Stella, that you lie and send in false data. Because they have done nothing but lie to you and other investors on their identity, location, Principals and the program in general, so just some friendly advise to you , just return the favour.

they do already have our names and addresses you know. So they have our identity in that respect. so we are already in trouble with that, right?

I sent in my ID docs to PIPs many moons ago.
I also sent them into two programmes that did turn out to be not too honest.
Besides these ""iffy"" programmes, 2 e-currency processors, a couple of ATM
card suppliers and some government agencies here in the UK also have my
    mugshot details on file.
The only concerns raised to date are the UK ones, who have already lost
one set of ID docs plus other information sent thro the mail, so ask yourself,
if a government agency cannot give any priority or safeguard to sensitive
information, why worry if you have to send the same someplace else.
Seems ID theft is mostly a homegrown industry, where thieves take
original documentation such as driving licences and passports.
A birth certificate is very handy also. We had a spate of people copying
such dates from gravestones and applying for a new certificate in this dead
persons name, but that seems to have been plugged now.
Since you are sending a copy and not originals I reckon it is quite safe to do
so if you mark out any ID numbers and have your copy stamped and verified legally.

Let me answer you this way. First, you are not going to get $55,000 for $30 or whatever amount they say. In short, you are not going to get rich quick. The only ones getting rich quick are the ones who have you send "them" your money. They win, you lose.

As to what kind of investments? That is difficult to answer not knowing how much you have to invest, and the types of risk you are willing to assume. One of the best long-term investments has always been real estate. Now I don't mean just any real estate, but real estate that has proven growth and return on your investment. I am not advodating this, nor do I get anything from saying this, but if you are really interested in real estate, then you might want to give YB's program a look. Again it will depend on what you have to invest, and how long you want to wait for your return. Some areas right now is not the place to be in real estate. You have falling prices, declining values, and unless you can pop down 20% of the purchase price, you won't even have a chance at getting a loan to buy. Since I don't know where you live, you would have to determine if this is a viable investment option for you or not.

If you have modest means of investing, then I would highly suggest you do this in stages. First, find a good paying interest rate on a CD (Certificate of Deposit), but don't tie your money up for more than 6 months. I would also look into different types of Mutual Funds. Some have a very low entry fee to enter, but again use this for a run of 6-12 months. With Mutual Funds, you need some time for them to perform, and this will not happen overnight. You must find those funds that have performed well in up and down markets.

Most of all you want to diversify. Do not put all your money in one investment. This way you can prevent a huge loss should your investment not do well.

Those are just a few of the things you can consider. I cannot be more direct as I do not know what you can and can't do as far as investing. At least with CD's, you have a guaranteed rate of return, and you will end up with more money than you put in at the end. This may be your only choice right now until you can accumulate enough capital to begin diversifying into other investments.

Not sure if I helped you or not, but I hope you found it useful.

No you are not in trouble with them having just that information. They could get that from any telephone book. When you start providing them your personal information: bank account, bank routing number, social security number, passport number, personal identity card, date of birth, etc.. can they really begin to do any damage.

As Paddy stated in his post, just because you send this information to someone does not necessarily mean you will be subject to identity theft. But it can. It really depends on the honesty of the people to whom you sent the information to in the first place.

Here you are being asked to provide information to total strangers who have not been disclosed to you. You cannot check them out, you have no Trust name, no insurance company name, no lending institution name, no contact person other than Stella. Even then all you know is her name and E-mail address; and you really don't know if that is a real name, if she is a she, if she is more than one person, etc..

You are now being asked to provide them your personal banking information, which includes your bank account number and bank routing number. You are also providing them with your signature. This would provide anyone who is not honest a means to totally wipe out your bank account, and in essence be doing it with your permission. Now don't get me wrong. I am not saying they will do this, but it is possible and you provided them the information and the means to do it.
