And which school would that be? Actually it is the education department for the State the school is in or the private authority that runs it that normally gets sued. That's beside the point... I would be very interested to know which school you are talking about.

    mezzy,

it came on either today tonight or current affair (i watch both at the same itme depending on which story interests me) about 2 or 3 weeks ago max. apparently, they were interviewing this atheist family who have a problem with christmas at school. they want it banned. they are angry that the teachers talk about santa claus and make childrens sing carols that go against their beliefs, ie atheism in this case.
even their child was interviewed and he point bland said that he did not beleive in god, teaching about imaginary peopke (santa) was wrong and that he did not want to sing the carols bcos some of them involved god (which he doesn't believe in).

as i said elsewhere, only an ***** would be offended by sincere well wishers regardless of religion, race, etc. it's also important for those who havea problem with immigration to note that there such a thing as subculture.

e.g in the US, they have teh north/south division that exists today. the southerner are always portrayed as yokels or rednecks, in breds, etc. also, your lifestly will differ depending on your sport. a golfer will not have the same lifestlye and vocabulary as a football enthusiast. a blue collar worker lives a very different life to a executive professional. we have goths vs the heavy metal vs rap vs calssic. music ends up influencing our outlook on life, what we wear, what we drink and howwe talk.

just came back from shopping and there is aquarium at australia fair shopping centre with different types of fishs. it's so beautiful to see the different sizes and colours. imagine if the fish tank had fishes of only one type and size.

diversity is a spice of life.

I dont think it has anything to do with immigrants.............not on my part anyway..............I dont care where the people were born.............if they cant deal with the way of life that this country was built on...............they can go somewhere else better suited for them.

if u hate migrants, have the guts to say so outright but don't frame them for stuff that your people are guilty of.
I don't personally hate anyone and whether "home grown" or from somewhere else I think I got my point across and a great diversified reaction from forum members, Which is why I enjoy "Rolclub"

Everyone have a wonderful Christmas no matter where you are or what faith you are
    Have a great day!

We have the same problem with political correctness in England too.
Not only at Christmas time, but on other days also.
It is now frowned upon to display the George Cross flag on St. Georges day as it offends the ethnic minorities.
Whatever happened to a tolerant society?

My family has always celebrated Xmas but it's never really been about religion, it's just a time for us to get together, reconnect and give presents to the kids. I became an Atheist at 15 years of age, and now that I am a grandfather I still do Xmas. I also celebrate the Winter Solstice with my Atheist friends, we have a party close to or on Dec. 21.

It's all good, celebrate any way you wish to. :)
