    Hello.
    Jean

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world. The unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man. (George Bernard Shaw)

Glad to see a forum up and running again. How can we get any news without it.

Default Maggie from Maine is here

I have to tell you all it is absolutely uplifting to be back in a P**s forum with so many of you! I've been a member since May 2004 and to say I was hoping for a nice withdrawal this past May is an understatement. Had a few devastating days of despair - because that money meant ALOT - nuf said. It was a heart rendering roller coaster ride there - and my heart goes out to many of you because, although we all knew that risk - it's only human to dream. What I'm trying lamely to say is that although things are not as great as I'd hoped by now, the world didn't end and I don't mean that as a cliche. (Kinda like when I was in labor with my only child and my doc finally showed up and told me I was way to far along to be given any medication - I cursed like a drunken sailor for a few minutes - wouldn't want that recorded, believe me. But then it sunk in on a different level - it was simply up to me and there was no force on earth besides myself that was going to get me through it. Honestly, once I hit that level and took control again, I was fine. Had a beautiful baby girl without anything, but it was once I took control, it all became easy.

Oh well, believe me guys, I know you especially may not appreciate the analogy. But it is about control - I for one feel more in control because even though things haven't happened as quickly as I'd hoped - I'm still here and so are you! This is all, to my mind, way more complex than anything, so you just got to be in for the long haul. Don't give up the dream, Bryan's there for us. He's not God, but I think we can have faith in him.

My other thought is one which, having gone on this long, if you're even still reading, then I'm just going to keep going - lucky you! Anyway - I for one would be happy with much less. According to stats, I should have an ROL of about $1000 a day by Christmas. What about the many who've been in longer with much more - $2000, 5000 a day - my mind won't bend around any of that anyway. Maybe that's unrealistic? I've heard that that's what makes this a pyramid - don't really believe it. But I do think and can't help thinking it - maybe there should be a limit.

When I called VAT last week, I was in conversation for about an hour and was told that the first month they were signed on with Pips, they did process over $1 million - then things fell apart, as we know, because of fees not getting paid and accounts being closed, etc. - alot of money was lost which Pips would have to pay.

To my mind, we need some limits, so we can all stay in control. I wouldn't mind cancelling withdrawals, then everyone can only withdrawal once a month not to exceed a certain amount. Also, perhaps there could be a cap per year? The idea that growth will continue exponentially is great but ultimately scary - don't you think?

Is the idea of an annual cap on profit (as well as limits to withdrawals). If you put alot in, your profit can still far exceed anything you'd make anywhere else - but maybe it would allow others to get paid too and leave what's needed for investment growth for us all. I think there are many like me that would be satisfied with less than one or two thousand a day - am I right? Don't think I wouldn't love it and - with it, yes, I would help many. But, if what's been happening is the inevitable result of such projections, maybe we can rethink the expectations. I daresay that if we struck some sort of limit - we could All be very happy - and let the critics say what they may - but we'll have made it work.

Ok, I know I shouldn't send this, but I'm going to because I am just going to hope that you all know whence these feelings are coming from - hope that Bryan's dreams can come true - for all of us.

I do so hope I haven't offended anyone in any way - Keep the Dream!

    Maggie
